She's feeling spicy up we're gon na see if we can run some dead on numbers for sick week, which is coming up all right. Let's see what kind of booths ruby's making today got your boost number right here, top center next, what six all right sounds good to me, ruby, all right, so guys we got a little bit different of a plan today. Normally we come over to the drag strip and we try to go as fast as we can until we break something today, we're not going to be going as fast as we can, because we got ta. We got a little situation for ruby we're.

Actually, what we're doing right now is we're preparing for the first time in our lives, we're preparing for something we have sick week, which is race week, florida that actually starts here, and that is in a month february 6, or something like that. Tom bailey is putting that race on look it up sick week and uh. Ruby is racing in sick week, but the way that the classes work out. For that event, there's kind of a really really fast class that the alcohol being and then there's a slower class and it falls at 8.5 seconds so 8.50, so like ruby's race before in the 750 class, there's just not one at six weeks.

So we have to drop ruby all the way down to the 850 class, which means ruby has to run as close to 8.50 seconds as possible without going any faster. So in 849 you can't even turn in that time slip. So the goal for ruby is to go 8.50 or as close to it as possible, and then you got ta do that five times in a row at four different tracks across the state. So what we're gon na do today is we're gon na dial, her in here at bradenton, which is the start track.

This will be the first time we've ever tested the gun before yeah. Normally we show up another race week, so we just show up and day. One is when we just guess at it: yeah we just we always get close enough good number one one second place another one yeah we're coming in so yeah. You can show up and just try it on the first day which we've done before we've gotten lucky, but with so many cars doing these race weeks now, sometimes you only get one or two passes in that day.

So if you don't have it dialed in exactly and you run at 858 well, some other guy is going to come and run 851.. It's a really really tight class. So we want to make sure ruby can run right on that 8.501 or 05 somewhere really tight in there and that'll give us a w, because if you don't have a good day one day, one sets the president for the week. You want to come in off off the street, going out.

There's three we're not even using a trailer because they average your times together, drive track to track, and if you mess up one day's average you're done it's such a competitive class you'll get beat. So we got ta, get our girl, ruby, dialed and uh you're gon na be going slow. Today, 850's that'll be a breeze ruby. We could take the turbo off driving down the road yeah.

We don't need that turbo to go 85 so doing all engine we're trying to make everything real consistent today same amount of ice, same amount of fuel, same amount of burnout make things consistent. Let just the tuning changes make the difference. Kevin left a tune in this thing that i think will probably go in mid-eighth, so we're gon na see what it does and then we'll build from there. Wow you're doing a great job - jordan, nice, big, oh putting me on the spot - i see hit it dude, like you mean it got a good help over here, hit him with his purse.

What you said that baby's out buddy yeah, i'm at 16, a little bit slip over grip, a whole lot of action. What a machine dude! I didn't see that coming. Okay, i did not see that ruby's a freaking animal. Oh, that might be faster than i had. Okay, it went to 802..

He had to have known that that was gon na be like way faster when it launched dude, i like yeah, it was so slow trying to follow it. You know at 172. turbo's like here's. The guys walk in the park - hey buddy, yeah, solid, a to be about half second faster yeah.

The top is sort of rolling in yeah. You feel the boost come in. Like eighth one yeah. I saw that kevin left a little bit of boost in it like well.

We have that brand new boost controller put a little bit on it and it worked. I mean if we were eight oh bracket right so we'll be in good shape. All we got to do is go like an 845, because i think it's gon na be a little bit hotter by the time. Stick week gets here.

We got really good air. Let's just get it in that zone. We have to slow it down a lot. I can't believe it 60 footed that hard too, but if we leave it on that 60 foot it'll go down any tracks: oh yeah yeah.

It's definitely just down try to take a little bit of power out of it. Slow it down all right, perfect! You can feel it like the way it pulled from the start to the eighth if it just pulled like that, all the way through it would have been golden, but the eighth mile came and just started pulling hard. I was like boost pulling it now. Well, let me check out the tune now and we'll get it dialed.

All right guys got your green boost line right here: ruby left on a whopping 6.6 pounds of boost and then in first gear made a ground shaking 14 pounds of boost which leveled off to about 11 and then in high gear, brace yourselves folks, 16. Pounds of boost to go and hey though, but at the end of the gear it was making 12 pounds that turbo is insane. I think it's moving some air. Those are some pretty small boost numbers for what ruby just did.

That's pretty awesome. So what kevin was doing here is he added in a little bit of boost, just in the middle of the run, so that he could see that the boost controller is working? So now we can kind of get an idea of how the boost controller is working and we're gon na have to go ahead and turn that down, because it's just a little too much guess how much boost it made. It made a lot 10 pounds. I was 12 pounds down the door, yeah 12 pound eight seconds after a moment it made 16.

So it was his hair almost got ripped off his skull. His skull did you zoom in on the helmet. It was actually the skull. Looking good sam, we got a few things left to do, but yeah it looks good.

I think it might have just gained five mile, an it hour, plus the lightweight computer. We saved two pounds: two buddy. Now we can't now we can't slow it down there. It is tamed way down in high gear, let's say 8-0 again, i took all the boost out of high gear how's that possible ruby 807 at 168..

All right well didn't slow her down too much. She likes to go fast, yeah. I don't like that. I got it running wastegate boost in high gear, but the launch is so aggressive.

It's six pounds of boost. I mean what am i supposed to do. I guess we have to take the turbo off of it, so it ran a 122 60 footed wow. I went a 5-1, it's like an easy seven.

Second pass. It doesn't want to go slow, dude, we'll figure it out. I'm just gon na turn the boost controller off after the launch and yeah use. It use it to build boost on the brake and that just pretty much it yeah cassidy james.

It truly just went 8-0 on 12 pounds of boost the whole run yeah it's just the launch is a little too spicy. Hey, maybe leave on four pounds. I mean it left on. It left right on six and a half pounds of boost.

Again, it's just yeah. I was just watching the gauge in the second. I got at the same spot as the first pass is when i let go i'll drop it down to five pounds of boost on the launch, and then let's do nine pounds out the back, because i'm just gon na turn the loose controller off yeah. What springs are in the sevens? I think seven pounds right, yeah i'll, just shut it off after launch.

All right sounds good nice. When you get up there, though, just like get up on the break and hold it for like five or six seconds, because i want to make sure it's like locked in, it's not creeping on you yeah dude. If we do sick week just on waste gates and it runs 8 50 - that would be the coolest thing in the world all right. So it's gon na leave on four and a half pounds and then run on the wastegate spring down the track and if it doesn't go slower than eight five, we got a full timing out.

It doesn't slow down this time. We just got ta unbolt one of the waste games. 841 and 1633. Are you kidding me, pull it up, ruby that sounds slower.

8 41. still win a 128 to the 60.. That's the slowest that car can possibly go. We're gon na have to turn the timing down.

I mean that's like 841. there's, my son slowed her down. Dude 8 41.. We're gon na have to unplug a spark plug.

Everybody had to go down on six or seven dude. We can't slow this unit down. Look how much it had to slow down down through the track in order to get that 840. nine and a half you were close.

You know nine and a half pounds of boost going 841.. I bet it even fell lower than that. It's 9.4, so not bad. I'd say about 9.5 average, not bad.

So what i'm thinking is we just pull a couple degrees out, run it one more time that should get us. I think two degrees of timing. How about two and a half two and a half? It is all right. Nice pretty much a tuner now all right guys.

So basically, when ruby sees over 500 rpm she's gon na drop down three degrees and that's what that's how we're gon na do it, it seems to be the easiest. I don't know how much of an effect that'll have on it, so we're going to find out, so you guys want to wait. Three runs in this is all stuff we would have been trying to do on the first day of sick week and now we're good with the sledgehammer yeah. I mean i thought that turbo's gon na do good, but i didn't expect it to go as fast as it did on uh nine pounds of boost so yeah, we're figuring it out and we are gon na be dialed in after this run.

I think this will be our last one all right so last pass we decided to ditch the timing thing we had sam go ahead and take the polish off the car and we think that's going to slow it down to where we need to be co-efficiency guys. We sat here thinking about it. Instead of three degrees of timing. We ended up only taking out two degrees of time, went back in and added a degree back to it.

Let's see what it does here. She comes what the fk 47, i told you dude two and a half degrees, nice and slow 847, perfect dude. That is that's perfect. I think that's perfect, though, because it's definitely colder today than what it's going to be on sick week.

All right. Well, of course, we're going straight on down through there like six o'clock, so uh go around. Hopefully that was enough to slow it down. It felt real similar of a pass to that to that uh.

8. 41. So hopefully it slowed it down enough a47. At two left that one degree out dude that point five at least dude.

That's still so perfect. Tell me that ain't right where we wan na, be perfect yeah. I say we we'll see what the temperature is like that day, but otherwise we just pull a degree. Another degree out yeah i mean that's that'll, be you know.

First pass tune up right: there, yeah hell, yeah, good girl, ruby, you went nice and slow, they never got a slow race. Car down was weird, i know when's the last time you went to the dragon strip and your first pass was the fastest and then you slowed down. Never so i wish i break it yeah unless we break it so weird all right guys. I know this is a very odd situation for us to be doing, but uh we're just trying to prepare 2022.

We want to win a lot of races, so we have to be strategic in that way and we're showing you guys the route it takes to be strategic and hopefully get a w on sick week, but that's it for now. Thanks for watching do for now. We will freaking see you later. You.
