Well it was the summer of 2017 and I had just bought Leroy a bodyless C5 Corvette for $5,000 It wiped out about 90% of my bank account. but little did I know that this silly little car was about to take my YouTube channel from nothing to something amazing. There's always been something amazing about Lero I Don't know what it is, people just love seeing this car do its thing and it didn't take but just a couple of months for Leroy to get into the 99sec range. Wow Oh snap that 60t was crazy.

Woo no way. Nine! It went nine. What? I got a nine I got a nine after running that nine. My motivation was through the roof and it only took me a couple of months to crack off our first 8sec run.

Oh my oh C that was CRA Yes, yes I got it. I got that after going eights Leroy Kind of turned into a drift car and a burnout car and a bunch of other things, but it still didn't take all that long to run our first 7sec pass. Oh oh my. WOW 7 eight seven dare you? Yes, let's go dude.

Yeah, Absolute guys! It has now been 5 years since I ran my first 7c pass. It seems like it hasn't been that long, but it's been a while and the fight from sevens to sixes was a massive change. We basically had to rebuild the car from ground up to make this possible. and after many failed days at the drag trip today, we finally got our six.

Ladies and gentlemen. Tonight is the night. It's the night I Mean we we can't calculate any other reason why it wouldn't be the night that Leroy goes his first ever 6C run. We've been 702.
we are confident we've never inted a video like this, but you already saw the title. Leroy is going 6. We've been 701. you know that's cool, but we got to go deep in the sixes.

We got a new engine you know that we put on last weekend. had some very promising runs at FL 2K when a 7:15 In the Heat of the day we got everything dialed in so we got it here. we got CL out in we got Leroy ready. we got Pete showing up right now from the real good at doing stuff YouTube channel.

oh yeah, the best tuner we know and tonight we're going to shift some gears into the sixes. Should be the first Corvette to ever do it so we can go sixes tonight which there's some other guys who went 70 and a Corvette with a stick shift we can go six tonight. We be the first to ever do it with a Corvette So let's make it happen tonight. Leroy You ready brother Want me fire you up? Oh it's ready.

it just ready. So we're going to warm up? the oil a little bit. We got the clutch the exact same way it was at. FL 2K Really liked it.

So I think what we're going to do for tonight is start off with a two up that should go about a 71 or a 70. See where everything's at. We know it'll go down on that. We'll try from there.

try and turn it up. Do it all the move W Fired up baby went n we went eight then we went seven years ago. but tonight we going over here grabbing a couple fresh ble SK let me get a Mountain Dew as well get a ble dud look who just pulled them. He's only ever been a 10 18, right? Something like that, we went low 10. Let going to go a nine right now and be done with it. Get it out of the way. Get warmed up for the night.

You know what? I mean shift some gears 9sec Neighbor pass coming right up. All right. She does a great burnout. 1028 at 144.

Nice. That's a warm up. Oh warm up all right. I Know that wasn't a nine.

No, it wasn't a nine, but went 1444. Yeah, she was sailing All right. All right, You know you went 1 n to the 60t. So we got it.

We got to get that 60t locked in. Yeah, we're looking for a low seven here. Leroy is going to show us a little burnout. Yeah, buddy.

Cleer is fired up There we go oo 7 15 at 197 right off the rip and he said he was trying to go seven 17s so that is perfect w I Probably only needed to go to the E there, but I accidentally went to the quarter I Yeah, I I should have gone today. All right. good run though.
Solid low seven. Had a little hiccup on the two3 shift again, but it wasn't bad. 311 to the 330 467 to8 at 157 467 right off the trailer. Right off the trailer.

Dude Weang ready to rip the clutch alignment, little bar change. Look at it dud, it's good. it's ready. Oh yeah you? yeah.

So let's turn it up. and uh. the clutch needs some weight on it. It was slipping a little bit weight.

reading plugs? What is that? Chinese We don't know that language. Let's see, there's glasses on. Never even seen one of those before. Oh yeah.

oh that had to be close. Man that felt way better than the last one. I don't know that might have done it there he is got the bright lights on. that was really that was way better.

That's right. Yeah damn. I mean neighbor out here going nines dude it was not hard out here doing it for Ed Yeah that's right our boy. Ed hey Ed we got a 9sec car for you bro n9c neighbor.

All right dude, that's awesome. Second: I saw that leave I was like oh that's the one dude a 178 60t I bet we can go 140s if we really got like some shocks, just shocks and we could go 145 and then we'd be in the mid N so easily. Yeah, that's not even that much better of a 60 foot. I even hit the rev limiter in third.
so mile hour wise I know it's got probably three more mph. Yeah yeah, that's his first through third so we changed gear ratio even too. Yeah, all right, all right, man. All of a sudden we're going sixes with a big block.

I Know where this is going. You're done. Bud All right guys, back to business. I mean I Know it's not.

It's going to be hard to beat that type of excitement in this video, but we're on. You know, see the momentum we're gaining. We just set our record in this car. Now we just go set our record in that car which is a six.

Not a big deal. Let's do it. Leroy's ready. We changed the clutch up a little bit, tightened it up Pete you had some boost up in there brother a little bit a little bit.

I Mean there really ain't even a power issue at this point. It's a short track issue. So we get to the Eth mile. Heart this things going on.

We turned that up. so we turned up the twep, turned up the launch RPM turned up the Boost down track I Mean can very well do it right here. let's go. Oh boy oh brother.

what are we looking like over here brother looking good? Oh I like that. So it it's like kind of over boost right here on the the 23 23. It likes doing that. Yeah and uh, that kind of probably killed the power through there cuz it.

oh it. start time. oh really yeah. it went fat cuz it threw a bunch of fuel at it.

So okay, how much boost did it make? uh went up to 44. oh 44. I mean we're chilling, we're hanging out. Well, it's fine at 44 we just I'm not planning on being there quite yet.

I see that green spike? Is that the Boost Yeah yeah. this right here is pretty. It jumps up there. pretty good.

Is that weird how it does that? Well, it's cuz the Dome is telling it too. So okay, so you're trying to balance that stuff out. Yeah, all right. well we're getting it ready.

Hey Zach how's our clutch look brother, It's actually pretty good. It's not too Dusty down here. That thing felt happy on That one. It felt locked up and happy I think we finally figured this out.

I Thought it blew up. Dude made a horrendous noise at the very very end I think it hit the Boost cut which I know makes that sound so okay. All right. All right, we're good.

We're good. All we did did was blow the O-ring out of the valve cover. We're okay. We are okay.

There's oil all over the car. Hello, hey did it go a six? No, what'? It Go 703 203 Okay I need to push. Is it hurt? No, no it's valve cover gasket. Okay, all right coming all right by.

You can't park here not want to go a six? No, it does not. Why dude, you know the Leroy curse dude, you got got at least 14 70's before you can go six. What the hell Dude I thought it blew up. there was oil on the window.

that's scary but luckily it just uh K the valve cover gasket out. Okay so when it hit the ignition cut I think it made a lot of boost. you know cuz yanked all the timing out and it it didn't sound good but thankfully it's okay so hopefully we can just push it back and fix clean up this mess. fix the gasket.
All right. All right, Be okay I like it I like it 703 dude. what a joke Leroy Are we a joke to you dude I'm telling you man I don't know what it is with Leroy Today little valve cover leak. no big deal happens every day.

Yeah, just slowed down a little bit. Dude I think uh, must have just been my shifting I don't know. It felt like it's pulling super hard but didn't get there. there.

it is right there. Fire it up real quick. make sure she sounds 100% healthy. We're good brother.

I Couldn't handle another 70 with a blown engine I Couldn't have mentally handled another 70 with a blown engine. Woo! we're good. Okay Leroy we get the 70 thing but like we're done with it right now. Okay, you got you got us with all your 7 O's and your special tricks.

The next run this car makes will be a six. He isn't this oil supposed to be in the engine supposed to be in it? Yeah, okay, all right, that's what I thought I was just making sure I don't know how these pet hero engines work. Oh yeah, there's the Boost Spike how much did it Spike do oh it ain't bad. Went to 44, made 44 and third again here.

Yeah that's the big spike for some reason spiked it up to didn't like that. but my Shi my shifts kind of suck. Yeah my shifts were not great so I'm going to fix that I mean dude, the shifting is so inconsistent in this car man and I feel like I'm doing the same damn thing every time. it's just I think you need to make a some kind of change in the clutch on the hit cuz I'm adding power but it's barely like it ain't moving the car.

you know? I' say we just try adding a bunch of RPM Get her going! You got this mess cleaned up yet? Bud? Uh the gasket? Yeah the mess mess up to my main man here Sam How we looking Brother: Slow but short. we're getting there. we're getting. So guys, we had to shave down some of our valve cover a while ago and that ended up being our culprit spot right there.

We don't need to have that anymore. but dang, look at these Mass heads. dude, these are some sweet heads feet. I Mean damn that's a good looking valve train right there.

Dream head right here that is sick Terribly sorry. I had to do this. Rocky Leroy's going sevens. It's doing it with the Blazers mouth cover gaset.

Put it on there going. Do it. Going to do it. Is it time? It's time.

It's time. Oh but what we found at the shifting is that we just had the Gap too tight for me to make the shifts. So we widen that and then we change some stuff. You know, powerwise cuz this thing should roll in the 6es.

We just like, you know, now that we told Leroy hey, the 70 curse is over, it's done. Now we're just going to rip into the six is right here. This simple that. so at this point it's just simple getting in the car.
Oh, and we changed that gasket. So we're good. Yeah, you're ready. you're dial yeah.

I All you got to do is drive it now. Can't think of a single thing that could go wrong. No, yeah, we're done playing games. Leroy It's showtime There we go.

I Think what the problem is here is that I'm pulling out the shifter before it's actually supposed to shift. so I'm pre-loading too hard and it's just screwing everything up. So while the boys get the car ready, we're just looking at some data, but we're leaving the tune and everything else the same to try. and uh, hit this again.

    Wow this was the year my car was made.. I have a Manual PP 2017 Mustang GT with only 9,700 Miles on her still.. I love the GT's and the Camaro SS's.. I love that Dodge, GM, and Ford, brought back the Muscle Cars!! Thank God.. I was a fool for so many years!! I was playing around with turbo 4 banger's and tuner's and OMG what a waste of money!! Don't get me wrong it was all fun.. But there is no replacement for displacement!!! Oh and don't misunderstand me, I am getting a stage 1.5ish to 2 Whipple put in after a few more years.. But anyway my point is when you have a 5.0L, 5.2L, 5.7L or 6.2L to 7.0L you can stay NA and have a great time without all the Boost!!!

    I love when I see the manuals doing the Same times at the track as the DCT's!!!!!! Look I think the DCT's are amazing. Truly the auto's have come a long way from when I was a kid.. I graduated High school in 91, so The Mustang GT's and Camaro Z28's and IROC's were what most people went for, But if you had an auto, you were in a slow car… The only way to get the power to the street back then was with a manual.. Auto's sucked so bad back then.. We had Horrible Trans/Transfer case power loss, Now the Trans costs more than the motor's in some of these cars.. But there's nothing like the feel of a manual sports car though..

    I thought leroy already went 6s 6.98 if I remember cause he went the 7.02 and hurt then engine on that run and said duck it cooled it drained the coolent and sent her for the 6 cause they where in comp with someone els to be the first stick cjevy/corvet (I can’t remeber witch) and that night was the first but shit gues I was wrong

    I'm sorry but I think the gearing change is more practical. 1st is too long your still in 3rd at the stripe. Shocks aren't going to fix the 60ft like the gearing will.
