it's FL 2K Drag Racing Day One: So we have qualifying today. We got to take mullet. Leroy The Blazer Mcf flurry's already over there. Let's head to the track we're in Techline got the Blazer out here.
Oh they got a headlight looking like headlights to me. Che Day check out the headlights and Grill that project Prime put on there that's just vinyl and it came out awesome. Gives the car a little bit of that original mullet look with the four headlights really helped it kind of come together. All right guys.
Well Murry is up first today at: FL 2K What do you want to do Setting five? Go down on five? Get on the list. See that puts us Do you want to do like a 3400 RPM launch or 3600? Uh, we'll just go the 3400 on five and see what it does. Okay, all right should go like I Think it should go like an 830. We don't want to go too on there.
I Don't want to be already too fast. They break out the street car class into two groups. One's really fast, one's medium fast. Three groups now.
Okay, well, we want to be in the medium fast group. If we get in the fast fast group, it'll be like 690 cars. Yeah, so all right, we'll see where we end up. Oh boy, there we go.
Nice burn out this start the day. Turn down setting five. you know, nothing crazy. Right down.

Co you see I just didn't want to go too fast yet so went ahead and lift it early. but GL idea could 804 buddy went a little fast. we were shooting for 840 I got out of the gas early. not ideal.
That just goes to show that the gear change in this intake with the other heads on this car just just like doesn't want to go, doesn't doesn't want to go slow. no oh yeah, Leoy oil warmed up brother. Yeah sir. I got to tune up for feet.
We're going to try and go like a 490 May I mean it's already hot out. Try and get a to B and then we can build from there I don't want to try and go crazy first hit so we'll start there and see what it does. There we go W Oh baby! All right guys. Mullet's class has some big dogs in it. there's that green Mustang that's pretty fast. Some other Mustangs here's a World Cup car that we raced in the finals. They get huge tires and wheelie bars in this class, but Mullet has to be on a 275. I Don't know what the deal is with these rules, but they're just trying to give it to the rotary cars.
I Guess all right guys, we got to go interview Vic on how these cars ended up in our class. big tires, wheelie bars and I got to run a 275. You know what's crazy? I'm not trying to be funny, there's people that didn't show up cuz of you. oh my, just cuz those guys were scared.

Nice little warm up qualifier. Oh hey guys, what are you doing down there on the floor? Couldn't handle the Boost could you guys? I guess our cars are just too fast for GoPros nowadays I mean the GoPros cannot handle the freedom that bullet and putting out 689 and 25 122, 6t, 461 and 168 and 689 25 is literally the hottest part of the day. That's what I'm talking about. Yes sir! Brothers call 689 461 and E I mean doing it.

Uh we goofed. We tried to go 840s, we went 8 04 and I was out the gas and that put us right here in a spot we don't want to be. number nine cuz you see here 694 in the heat 2001 can't touch it 730 I can float the heads and get there. So uh, a lot of these guys are going to go faster.
We're hoping that if you look down here a lot of these guys that had issues, figure them out and go faster than we did at 804 to bump us down. We trying to be in the second class, but look at this number two stick shift shootout Number Two C Farland and Leroy Dude, let's come over here and look at this dude. 28 Number Three Mullet 689 Dude Solid. solid. That was the first full quarter mile rip on power with all the new stuff. All right guys, we back in Leroy for round two. We turn the car up after the onew ship so everything on the launch should be the same, but then there's more power after that so just easing into it we get five qualifiers so we all got to go crazy. Let's see what it does clean, burn out for Leroy oh Le you were bogged hard on that one.
not sure what that was about. that's got to be the first time in a long time. Leroy's Bob could Tak a lot know so check the DAT along see if something else made that happen. but everything was right I off and just well, you don't take the damn.
All right. Well tough break you can see right here. I mean everything's going good. We're sitting on our launch Target RPM our launch Target boost which is like 7 lb and then when I let off the clutch instead of the RPM going up it went bur down and if you look at our last dayalog you go to Q1.
It did dip a little bit but the Boost Rose enough to cover. So honestly we just need to hit it harder. think that's our issue. we just didn't hit it hard enough.
So same boost same RPM which is crazy. We're going to take Gander at all things and I think we just need to turn up the launch RPM or the Boost and just get it out of. leave three turns in and just turn it up. or we just yeah, we loosen the clutch a little bit, let the engine freely spin up.
Well if the tracks on Kill now in a couple is really going to kill, let's let's go back. Let's loosen the clutch a little bit, let the engine free, see what it does. You take a big nap Buck Yeah, took a big nap. You can't really see too much.
it's too bright. Yeah, it's so bright out here. All right guys, here's the plan for Leroy for next round. We added 200 RPM to the launch.
We also added a pound of boost and Zach is loosening up the clutch to make it a little bit more slippery off the line. Hopefully that will not let that engine bog and we'll go sailing right through there. About to go out for Q2 in Mullet and Pete gave me a tune back. that should be a little bit spicier.
so let's see what it does. This ramble is the guy that Cetus beat in the finals at World Cup last year wo that's how you do do a burnout. be honest. I got fired up and I adjusted Pizza to and I added a pound of the leaves and they killed us I Just wanted to beat that guy again.
sorry disqualifying so doesn't count Dude, we'll see him in the finals if he gets there. One pound got us like dang it all right guys, here's the problem. The air got a lot better. It made 9.3 lb of boost earlier today.
We left on S lb of boost I turned it up to eight. It made 9.3 and just blew the tire off so that's a bummer. We should have accounted for the better air and I probably shouldn't have touched Pete's tune and we wouldn't be in this situation. But you know my fault. Round number three: Leroy headed out to the lanes. All right. Well he was ripping pretty dang good. Then he lifted, had a great launch and then it stopped making boost like it slowed way down and then when I got into the top of second it didn't take third.
I Don't know. Like all of a sudden the car just started slowing down in the top of second gear like it wasn't making boost. Co2's on. That's really frustrating.
That was a great launch. So for some reason Leroy made 24 lbs of boost in first gear and then something happened and the Boost just went away and second gear we were making 12 lbs. All right guys. here's what's happened.
this green line that's the clutch switch getting hit. So I wonder if somehow when I pulled the shift, the pedal swung and tipped that button? All right guys. Well, a little bit of a frustrating end of the night. We started strong.
We really did, but we did not end great. so Leroy didn't make a good run. mullet spun so we got some stuff to figure out tomorrow morning, but the R's pretty much over for the night. A lot of delays unfortunately, just that's how racing goes.
Wayne o di M It is time for day Two of Fl2k. Let's fire this puppy up. She's uh TR RI fun the tires Last night our last qualifier. That's probably mostly because I adjusted P soon by pound of boost and it actually went up higher than that.
So we worked that issue out for today by putting feed tun back in and untouch so we'll go back out 2 three this morning and hopefully not spend the tire. BL o Diaz how you going to start today off? Bud a little twostep check a little twostep check I like too much boost last night. All right, sounds great. Okay that last twep check way crispier as you can hear it came right up on the brake, got right to where we wanted everything to be.
Ended up balancing out at 8.3 lbs of boost. That was beautiful. So we are dialed. Race car thing.
If you aren't putting a front clip on your street car, look at that just street car. Nice, nice clean burn out 68 81 at 2177. All right baby! Yeah Bigy Woo Woo! I should have stuck with Pete too. dude.

We just talked to Pete Pete Wants to leave the clutch alone. He thinks all that's doing pretty good so we added some power. plus I hit the scramble button on the last run so he added that put the Boost in earlier. We're just doing a tuneup change.
We're going leave the rest alone and see what it does. Meanwhile, Rip is just crashing his ground Vick Right now. Unreal. stupid.

we're pulling up for our last qualifier Leroy and he sent me a spicy too. He said I'm going to turn up quite a bit so let's see what he's talking about here. Running the stick shift is final qualifier. This is the last group of the night here for qualifying at Fl2k. You know it's like weren't qualifying. Why? why stay in it? So it just got out of it and we're dialed. still rolled to a seven ah, 467 1156 foot 310 to the 330 467 at 153 I think I was out of it by the a I think so too. Yeah, it happened before that.
Still, we were on a hell of a rip. Yeah and we have so much back half now. Dude, we could potentially like keep her have still a chill eight and back half into the sixes. So dude, that baby was singing all right guys looking at the data log.
we were 31 lbs of boost when we spun the tires and uh, you can see the profiler traction control was doing its job helping us. It was even trying to help me out when we almost crashed. So solid. Run: I Definitely think we ran something over on the track.
which it totally happens. Man, you can't. You can't take that out of the picture ever because you know if the car before you just lets out a little bit of water, it's impossible for the track to know it. but Leroy almost never spins that far up the track and it just did So I think we ran something over.
but I know we're going to check the car over 100% in the morning make sure everything's good. but we had a successful day of running. I mean I think that was a solid day. Solid day.
So yeah, we're going to get some sleep. come back in the morning. It's eliminations day. We got a lot of work to do tomorrow.

This is this: 70 Nova with the 540 QV that's a fullblown bracket car and the Blazer did a wheelie, got pedal and just went right into number one. Youl everyone again this year. Uh yeah, that's all right. and Extreme 28 mullet sitting number two with the 662, but a 645 ahead of us. That car is out our shop right now. The engine out of it though. so who knows in the sit Club glass Leroy sitting number five with that 737. we got a 727, a 721, another 721, 6.99 and street car shootouts.
Not updated but you're one or two in the second class. so we're dialed. Guys, we're sitting man. come on.
I Only made two runs but I'm there. Oh damn. All right guys, we're sitting perfect. We're really happy with how qualifying went.
All our cars are in great position so hopefully tomorrow we can come out here work our butts off, get ourselves in the winter Circle Guys, what happened to your Coyote Well The rear main seals started leaking after that last pass and Joe was like listen, we can't have see you just pulled the whole engine out and repl crank it. You know, complex engine. The crank in the back where the seal rise had a groove cut in it. Yeah, so we went ahead and just replaced the crankshaft so that see good smart guys.

Eliminations Day FL 2K We're getting Lee Roy out of the trailer right and early. Oh man, we're out. We are out here with Leroy Brother: Yeah! I Just got in my eyeball ready. It's alive again.
That's the Unit brother. You guys want to see something that was almost really expensive. Our oil pump pulley. Oh well, he already pushed it back on.
Yeah, that's how it was sitting. The pulley actually walked in a little bit on our oil pump. So glad we found that I would have put Tour All right dude, you're up first. Yeah and all you can go is a 786 is the breakout for your class.
so you got to beat the guy to the line without going faster. 786. What we did is we bumped the tuneup just a little bit from that 80 so he has some room to go a little faster. But 786 is right there so if you go a little faster than that, you're automatically out.
Yeah, ain't going to happen unless the other guy breaks out worse than you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got it. We got it flurry. Oreo Dude unit ready to rip I already ate a pack of Oreos this morning to get ready for this.

Wow he broke out more 783 Yeah by a 100. Yeah damn dude you got it.

Round one of eliminations in the Blazer Uh, we don't really have any good data. this tune is just kind of winging it. Hopefully we do a good job and uh, that's all we can do. It's all we can hope for.

Uh brother, what a rip Good rip and you lifted early and went a 960 I Lifted early druged The Brak cuz I'm like man I was way out on him but he had like 20 mph up there. You did. Definitely Yeah it made 40 or 37 lb right there in the mid-range but that Ain nothing D chilling. There's a good pass too in the heat. yeah that is a great looking datal log. All righty guys. Blades By the way Dude I think Leroy really likes his smaller cubic inch engine I Think it doesn't have enough torque to knock the tires off as easy. It's just really happy. Yeah, and it's making some power knows AER too he does. He's real good at doing the guy racing second round.
Put a 709 on his first round. so we're going to have to put the 6 second tuneup in this unit. Like to hear there ain't no other choice brother. all right pulling up and bu it I think we're lean on it.

So we have a backup gear but it changes things. This is Mcf Flurry's old rear gear so to put mullet normal one the 340 in it it just changes all the the tune right? because now it's like makes a huge difference makes a huge difference. So I'm trying to find a 3 20 five gear put back in. it all be the same.
We're on the Jacks and I know it's the rear gear because when I was pulling forward about half the teeth on it are Stri the wheels are spinning. drive shaft is not. yellow Line's boost right blue line is drive shaft RPM that's where it broke the gear right there. So I think the biggest issue we're going to see here is we've been running 8600 RPM out the back door with Mullet and now we're changing the gear ratio to make that number a lot higher. I don't know what the SMX is good for RP M But uh boys we're going to find out this.
