Hell yeah brother you're on the policeman for on youtube channel buenos dias, happy birthday, doctor tuna mall: where is this big boy right here? Ty coming too got ta get those bar angles right. I know my truck. I keep telling them get this thing. Fueled up head to maryland, you got here 830 miles left kevin golly, make a lot of noise whole gang's, going to make some room for that thing.

You got a new hat boy. Best truck stop ever right. There buddy buenos dias, mullen he's like dude. This is too cold.

What is it 36, 36 36 degrees outside it's cold. We are at world cup finals, see all these cars and trailers. Let's see if this thing will start. Let's see: oh yeah, that's crazy, pretty good, you're good! You got a lot of room behind you, foreign bad unit, alert doing it alert so we're in the street fighter class today, and we got a couple hours till we run.

We got two qualifiers today, one during the day one tonight, so we really got ta make them count. Only two hits and uh see bullet hold it down for the team. Oh leroy make gold leroy proud, try and get that oil. Hot yeah, wow round of applause round of applause come on guys.

This is the racers race guys there are so many race, cars and rigs here. It's insane i've been driving away from our for like a minute now, there's still just lines and lines of rigs and cars and people working on them. It's freaking amazing people, swapping motors, getting ready for tomorrow, all right guys. Well, we passed tech, but i want to see how much this thing weighs.

We got to be 3 500 pounds for our class, so oh yeah, 3 535 pounds all right, guys we're looking at the data log from when we went 118 to 60 foot check this out. 2.35 g's at the max thing, was ripping making like uh 26 pounds of boost. I think it made 33 before i lifted 31 33 pounds of boost in the 60 foot, so we need today. So after further investigation too, on that 118 cc foot, the wheelie sensor kicked on yeah.

This is our timing. Yeah there were 13 here and it pulled it tucked it all the way down 6.7, like the car, kept moving hard and didn't like chop the power out of it and beautiful well i'll show you too one thing: we want to get under control. This blue is front shock yeah, so you can see it's fully extended at point. Nine, oh okay, so slowing that down will help keep the wheelie down, which will keep the power in it, which means faster, faster cool, all right guys.

Well, the weather is so freaking. Nice and cold that mullet's gon na try and make a little bit more boost than he normally does because the aerosol dense. So i'm gon na put it up on the new step. Real, quick and we'll see how much food that sounded pretty rowdy that sounded good.

But you liked it yeah. One thing we got to do too: real quick, while i'm messing around is jack up the back of the car and get some heat in the rain gear. If you go up there with that thing too cold, it's just definitely going to break something over here. So it looks like we got up to about seven and a half pounds and then bounced around there the low sevens.
How much we want to leave on that! Might be a little rowdy, i think we need to try and go a to b, because we don't know this converter at all. That's a pound more than we left on the other day, so yeah, let's back it down back it down a little bit all right! All right we're gon na try it again ready 5.8 smoke out of it as soon as it switches to alcohol, it cleans right up, yeah, it's fat on the race view or the pumpkin. Yes, okay! Well, it's liking that cold air boys, all righty guys. We are in the lane for q1 i'd love to get a good pass here.

Kevin and nate want me to cut it off at the eighth mile, so we can just make sure all the fuel turns are good. The converter's good. The new trans is good. We're riding to about the eighth and shut down, hopefully the track's cold cars make a lot of power, but hopefully we can make a good crack out of his first rip on qualify high.

That's what we need. The street fighter class yeah a whole mix of imports versus domestic here at world cup finals. So these are all street fighter. Cars gtrs el caminos got a mustang up here.

Nissan 240. You guys know this car another gt-r, real nasty, gtrs, real nasty, more gtrs got a mustang, a couple mustangs camaros, so it's gon na be wild. We got ta compete with all these guys. Some uh six second cars for sure, but mullet should be able to hang in there as long as the trans does oh look at this gto buddy and then you can see the stick class is going up.

Sadly right, not here, but these points are ripping nutrients. New converter, who it is see what this thing's gon na, do buenos dias world cup finals baby. It is freezing cold out here yeah. We got a big flag, big black trophy for today.

Sorry buddy! Oh, so! Well guys! I don't know what the hell happened, but the car made no boost on the starting line that it wasn't on methanol when it launched. That's why i was waiting and waiting and waiting. I was trying to let it build just a little more boost, but it wouldn't wouldn't build the boost. There goes a wasted, qualifier, dude, son of a biscuit all right now, 136 60 foot because it has no damn boost in it.

Oh man, we only get so many chances and we blew our first one. Does it back here, but not on the starting line i mean, did something get turned down. I didn't turn the launch boost down when we were looking at it aside from not after we had tested it here in the fence. That's why i waited and waited.

I was just hoping it was going to switch over, but it just stayed three pounds i had it all on and then i flipped this switch just to hear. If there was air in the system it switched the pump turned on everything it had we'll look at yeah log and see what the heck happened. All right. You guys check it out, you know get dirty.

You know i got to film, so i can't really. You know get down and dirty like that. What was it making for boost, so it was 26 pounds of boost and it dropped a thousand on the ship. So the converter's not totally wrong.
How about that thousands pretty good, but how much boost is that that was 26.. So it's going to tighten up but yeah i was worried. It was going to go to, like you know, 8 200 on the lead, so i mean it sucks. It was slow, but at least we learned some stuff just going to get her to build some boost on the break.

Now, at least it didn't explode. Yeah, that's good! That's a good thing! Yeah! Why didn't it not? How much boost was it on the break because 3.2, it didn't switch to methanol until yeah right after you let go of the button we tested that earlier to make sure we literally is good. Well yeah, we're good all right guys. We got another problem going on here.

We got something that might be the answer to all of these problems, but the transmission cooler - it's not even warm like it, is cold to the touch. Yet the transmission temp is over 200 degrees. However, last night before we put the transition in james - and i blew air through this cooler and there's no blockages, so what we're thinking is maybe the dump valve on the transmission is stuck open, so it says, circulating fluid through the transformer. Let's just put it back in the pan, so since the transmission cooler wasn't working, transmission temps got through the roof and burn the fluid.

We're hoping the trans is. Okay, this little dump valve is what we think is the cause of all this, so we're bypassing it and we're draining the fluid right now. So we can replace it getting a nice arm, curl there yeah it's nice and toasty. This chili water transmission fluids burning your fingers yep all right, we're almost there.

It's not pressure nice cold, all right guys, so we got the car warmed up. Transtemp shows 180 on the dash. The cooler is completely cool to the touch. However, if we unhook the cooler, we can blow air right through it, so we don't think the cooler is blocked.

It's got, ta, be something in the transmission or maybe the fittings at the transition. So we're about to pull those lines off and start looking into it. But we're freaking like mind-boggled by this situation. Transmissions pull the lines off the cooler and both lines are somehow getting pressure, so the feed line, so the feed line and the return line have pressure in them and we think it's because of where our dump valve returns.

Maybe so we're going to move some blinds around and hopefully solve this problem right here in for all these don't work james or is this transmission yeah? This is before there was a dumbbell. This is what we used to do on turbo cars used to take the bottom to the cooler, the top line you cap it and put it to the pan or up on the van rail itself, so we'll just go to old trusty way, dumb valves out, don't Bounce out we're gon na all right, bye past that it's one step. Do some trickery? Hey guys, we were talking about the milkshake, but here you are hey, guys, welcome to the bondi shake club, yeah! That's what we do. George and i just eat milkshakes, while the guys work on the coke, you guys are doing great man.
These milkshakes are good. I hate to help out and get the camera dirty or my milkshake yeah. They drop my milkshake, don't get any chocolate on that camera. All right - oh definitely not you guys, probably didn't know this, but the way that i hired james is my milkshake brought him to the yard.

Guess what both blinds are hot. We have our transformers yeah down 50 degrees. Hey i'm glad we found that problem. It's almost a good thing: it didn't make a full rip yeah.

Well, that was the way it's set up. Right now is how we should do it before a dumb valve was a thing yeah man, i mean it's pretty normal way to do it. We must have something weird in our case, going on yeah better. It might have been getting hot or with stuff with hard parts breaking inside of it.

It might have sent a piece of metal something crack the case. Don't get pressure you're good right there. Oh, thank goodness, now look 116. Now it was like 180 right away all right guys.

We got a transmission topped off we're gon na check the uh new step make sure it gets all the way up on the brake. We think we found the problem. Why? I didn't spool earlier guys somehow guys we accidentally selected the wrong setting for the boost controller. Just while we were, you know, working changing up the tune up somehow that got nicked.

We thought it was just that we turned it down too much turns out. The boost controller was not functioning at all because whoops i mean literally, it could have been any of us because we all scroll through there and if you click in the wrong spot one little slip. Are you clicking the wrong spot and boom now? It should make some boosts woof everyone's, like don't complicate things but we're complicating things guys to get it up on the break faster, we're using a three step. It's gon na sound like james car yeah.

It's a proven tactic. It worked yeah, it works really well for building boost quicker. So that's what we're trying to do to get you in the beam quicker and not creep yeah. Basically, okay, all right! You guys are getting all the two-step footage tonight.

We're trying it again now that our trance cooler works. It's all good in our trans town, 160, chilling all right, guys we're sitting in the toad room we are calling in today it got too cold and they had to shut down the track. So now we're just relaxing doing some editing and uh we're gon na hit it hard tomorrow, george. What do you think? Oh, i feel like a million bucks, a million bucks ice cold.

It is cold, it is cold, so we're all getting some rest and we'll hit it hard tomorrow. Thanks for watching see you later, you.

Interesting. Theoretically the acceleration in g is 2S/(gt^2) where S = 18.29m (60ft) and t = 1.18s (and g is assumed to be 9.80665m/s^2); that comes out to be 2.68g. I wonder if the reading's affected by the positioning of the accelerometer; maybe it's on a compliant mounting🤨. 2.35g would correspond to 1.26s to 60ft.

Hey Cletus you guys need to get that Pro Jack race stands for when you're at the track. Talk to Justin Swanstrom about one. I think I remember him saying in one of his videos that he is a retailer for Pro Jack race car stands. I it will really help you out at the track. It would just make all of your car maintenance much easier including warming the car up like your transmission and rear end gears.

Ain't none of what y'all are trying to do at these levels of performance that's easy but y'all are definitely getting there. Mullet's basically a new build that isn't even broken in yet and he's already getting there. Can't wait to see those 6 second passes start coming back to back. He's built for it and we all know he can do it once all the glitches are finally ironed out. Good luck tomorrow and here's to at least another PB or podium or hopefully both…

Isn't it funny how "bad" things happening sometimes save you from even worse things? Like someone accidentally changing the boost setting which made for a crappy run, but led you to solving another more important issue. Possibly even saved the transmission from being grenaded?

Was I the only one who had major anxiety about that yellow rag right by the turbo when they did a 2 step boost test 😬
