This is two big engines. This is the MD 900 Explorer You got to be careful locking up these ones. Get the blades grouped. Ah, watch how low the blades get once it shuts off.

this gigantic helicopter flies over and then I gave him the signal to land because that's what I do whenever I see a cool helicopter he lands. We end up talking for a little bit and now here you are. back here today. Yeah man, and we're just gonna make a cool random video.

They've been pulling uh, boats out of mangroves from the hurricane last year and how's that been going? really? well. Actually, the folks down there are really appreciative that we're clearing debris and everything. Yeah, it's trash times. Let's talk about Brim Aviation Can you give us a quick Lowdown Uh, Brim? Aviation We do primarily Powerline utility and maintenance, but we do pretty much everything that you could think of.

the whole boats out of mangroves. Yes, we do firefighting, kind of a all-in-one Stop Shop Yep, got everything under the sun with a helicopter. Oh yeah, so brim Aviation if you got a fire, if you need a big block swapped out of your car, apparently we're going to be setting, uh, new heights for Brim Aviation today. So big thanks to them for helping make this happen because this is totally on a whim and Dan was kind enough to fly down here too.

Can you tell us a little bit about the Md-900 Because we definitely don't know anything. This is an Md-902 Uh, it's the largest aircraft MD makes. Yeah, it's a twin engine aircraft, no car. The no tar.

I Can get in depth about that, but pretty much the magic happens. We gotta know tar videos. The people are up to speed on no tar. They make two variants.

they make the Md-900 and then this is the the newer version, the MD 902. So it's upgrading. Yes sir, Is that the air intake right there? Yes sir. Wow, that's a large intake.

How much horsepower are we talking about? 800 a piece? Oh wow. 1600 horses. Well our big block makes about 800 so it should be able to pick it up for my map. And then this sucker is this for carrying people? Yep, sure is or anything.

This aircraft is outfitted for the winch. The winch has a capability about 550 pounds and then we also have a cargo hook that we're going to be picking up stuff. Yeah, how much does the cargo hook hold? 3 000 pounds on the hook? Oh I think you could pick up a Crown Vic Uh, not with this one. with the other one we can.

This one's this one's pretty fat. Okay, oh this one's got all the extra stuff. Oh yeah. okay, all right.

so this notar is probably double the size of the 520s. It looks like oh yeah, this is. this is the big deal if you guys are new around here. Instead of having a tail rotor, this thing just blows air out of the tail and then the pilot controls how much air is Flowing out of the tail with his pedals.

That just blocks that off or lets more air flow. It's crazy. Insane design. basically magic happens and then the helicopter doesn't spin because without this it would spin out of control.

So I Always tell people unicorns and rainbows come out of that thing to avoid the long explanation. All right, we'll do. this is so cool. Look at her from back here.

I Know this is right. This is probably the coolest helicopter I've ever seen in person. This is a very rare one. I would say as far as most helicopters go, I've been around helicopters now for years.

never even seen one fly by. So very exciting to have a 900 Explorer here and a freaking awesome pilot so we can do some cool stuff. Can we show you our project? Absolutely All right. Come on, All right.

Dan We got a project for you. We have two burnout cars, right? We got this one and we've got the mystery machine that we're trying to retire. Okay, now we want this big block. We want to keep this so we need you to hoist this out of here.

Okay, set it in the bed of this pickup truck. Okay, okay, how do you feel about that? We can do it that easy I mean I wouldn't call it easy, but we can do it. sounds easy and then we want you to pick this vehicle up and drop it on. So let's see what we can do for you.

This is like this is a story of the aviation. Community I Feel like because I would have never met this guy if I didn't post any Aviation videos and then he just happened to stop by and check the place out from the air. and because we love Aviation we got him to land and now we're here the next day doing this cool video like I think it's just meant to be All right? Well I guess we got some rigging to do. We got a safety briefing to do so that we make sure everything's coordinated and as safe as possible and then we're gonna go for this.

How long is this unit? I think he just swapped it to a 7500 75er. Not easy is what that means. This has got to be one of the hardest skill jobs in the world. Like I mean flying a plane flying helicopter is not that bad, but when you have this gigantic rope and then something on the bottom, it takes a lot of skills.

Well let's get out of the way. This is the only we. our engine hoist is broke. We literally had no other choice to get this several million dollar helicopter here to pull our big block out.

Or it was just basically salvaged at that point, right? Exactly? Are you worried about your truck at all? I Think he's got it. You know that's a no. We're gonna be on the side there holding it right. Are you worried? I Can't think of a single thing that could go wrong.

Exactly. This should make a quick work here. MD 902 No Tar baby. our engine hoist is just so many pumps forever that's doing the big box on it waiting.

Now you're pumping all day long. Why not have an Md-900 and two to pick it up? It's slightly more expensive I mean look so cool. It's worth it. Yeah, oh, it's gonna be awesome.

you have no idea how hard that is. That is so hard. Yeah, he did it perfectly. that is.

not a rookie. came out like it wasn't even like just wait a pound. Yeah, 1600 horsepower pulling it straight up in the sky using the engine hoisting. Yeah dude, we don't need engine hoists anymore.

Dude. Unbelievable. You were not joking. You can you perfectly on the tire? I mean just on days work? huh? Yeah, that's it man.

Dude. Yeah, dude. that was so impressive. 10 gallons of jet fuel? Dude.

Worth it. Let's not worry about any of the maintenance Goss you just throw all that out the window. We're worried about fuel costs. Yeah, yeah, all right.

So it sounds like today we're gonna fulfill my dream of being hoisted by a helicopter fight rescuer. But I'm gonna be rescuing a burnout car. Yeah, that's why I'm rescuing today I'm rescuing neighbor and making sure that I can do a burnout right after I Like this. This is gonna be a girl like this a lot.

I Got to get a quick briefing and then put my helmet on and apparently this thing is gonna lower me down to neighbor so I can do a burnout? I Mean that's pretty much cool. This is. that's what I call a tipping. That's a tip.
