Alcantara on the seats their custom leather wrap and then under the hood we got a freaking fully built 2J 1500 horsepower Streetcar This thing runs eights and a quarter mile stick shift so it's a freaking sick build. but you know on the outside you'd never tell you pull up in this thing, it's allowed. You know it's not quiet, but you'd have no idea that it has this under the hood. I mean look at that dude.

We have the Blazer right here which just hit a massive wheelie. It is good. Turns out okay, must be the extra support we added with the snouts for I Don't know but it came down from that wheelie and seems to be fine Leroy 100 Good to go but now has the battery moved to the back of the car and Ty has added his weights on it? Well unfortunately I had it on the scales and with the battery moved to the back and all these weights right here, that puts us at 54 on the nose which is a lot closer to our goal. But as you can see, 50 100, 150, 200 pounds of weight back here somehow I have to sneak 200 pounds of weight in the back of this thing where it's safe, efficient.

It doesn't look terrible, so that's going to be kind of tricky, but we'll get it done. The first thing I think I'm going to worry about is making our Mount to reposition this right here and that's just going to be throwing like a one inch tube across and then a couple Mount tabs for our old battery box that I made a while ago. that guy right there. we'll slap that in and then we'll start making some weight bars.

All right. So I've been doing a lot of thinking on this and a lot of planning and then starting to execute something and not liking the way it was turning out or it just being really hard to get around and get these weights in and out of the car. So I think I Finally figured out how we're gonna do this. I'm gonna cut a piece of this 3 16 Steel a little bit longer than the actual bottom of these things and then I'm going to weld it upright on it and the upright and the whole bottom of this is going to weld on the bottom tube over here on the car, right down here on the bottom.

That'll allow us to just stick the weights in. They have something to sit on while we bolt them in place. These things are 50 pounds a piece and I do plan on welding them together so we basically will have two 100 pound weights. So the way I'm going to do that is we're going to put a big Groove in here, weld it all the way around on all four sides.

and then the other cool thing I'm going to do with these that'll make it a little bit easier to work on is we're going to weld these two together and those two together so they're separate but also together. and then I'm going to weld a little tab on the top little hoop so that if we ever have to pull these being that they're going to be welded together, it'll be a hundred pounds. so it's not exactly something you want to try to grab like this and pick up out of a car. So we'll put a hook up here so that it's easy to hook a hoist or a chain or something to it.

Pick it up that way and that'll keep things on the simple side as far as maintenance goes. Oh, foreign. it's gonna be snug. It needs to be snug.

It does fit. I Got a clearance around a couple little things, but it fits. We're just putting a shelf down there for the weight to physically rest on. So once that fits nice and flat and the weights are in there I've made these little top tabs.

They will go like this and then they'll have to rotate to wherever they fit. Best foreign, Thank you! I Don't know if I'm gonna talk about your weight addition. Yeah. So basically we figured out that 250 pound area.

yeah, what? we had on the back of the car and with moving the battery, we could cut about 50 pounds out of that weight. Yeah! and then I went ahead and made two separate 100 pound weight bars. Beefy, mounted, solid. You can't even tell they're there.

Yeah, they're kind of hide, so that's pretty sweet that's dialed. We just gotta go test it. It has been so hot here that we haven't gotten around the testing mullet. We got some stuff taken off of him because we were going to cut some weight out of the car.

We're still kind of deciding on that, but as you can see, the SMX is already on its way to Steve Morris And then the transmission is out too because we're changing some stuff there. really. our charge pressure is pretty high and we had some bearing issues with the engine. Combination of those things are what's hurting the car and making it unreliable so should be dialed in there once that gets back.

We got toast on the rack because we're doing some front end stuff here. We did pull it straight into the forklift, but now we're gonna brace some things and get that dialed in once. Looks like that's what I'm doodling up right now. How you liking this? Welding Table This thing is awesome.
