All right listen up folks. This is my ranger for the danger. Ranger, 9000 v6 absolute ripper i'll, be running some crown vic wheels with some nitto tires on it danger ranger 9000. I let in a couple extra trucks, because i thought you know some of these people were gon na back out on putting cages in them turns out.

They didn't so we're gon na have about 35 ford rangers racing in the danger ranger 9000, which is only two weeks away not this weekend, but the next weekend is the danger. Ranger, nine thousand. We also have spectator drags before the race, so i got a ranger james has a ranger george has a ranger. J.H is driving ranger.

I know derek from vice grip garage is driving a ranger. We rolled the cart with the turbos on it right over here.

Next to him. Now it runs problem was the shaft that drives the fuel pump, not engaged so real, easy fix. But now it's you know all the fuel stuff's kind of out of adjustment. Now we're where we should have been in the last video you guys are gon na, like the sound of this.

The problem is we need to. We need to get this puppy dialed in with this puppy. Now then, with this puppy dialed in with that puppy up there, that was about this much open all right. So here's the problem kind of weird issue - we're gon na - have to figure out here, basically with warbird right.

If it had a bunch of fuel and a bunch of idle air which is aka this air squeezing through here, then the car would just sit at a high idle nothing. We could do to get it down, even whacking it with a bunch of fuel. It would never come down from that high idle, so what we just tried to do is throw a bunch of fuel at it trying to get the idle down, but it just has too much air that is not going to come down from that idle. So i was trying to kind of push these shut, but we have like either too much tolerance in here.

So you like to see how it's massaged, so what we're going to have just a little bit. We just got to keep working the blade to get it to shuffle yeah, so look bring them in right here. Guys see that little gap right there. Oh god, that's what we're gon na have to like massage these a little more to try and get this to seal just a little bit better.

These don't come like perfectly set up when you order a top fuel hat like this. Typically, those guys know how to set them up right away, so it doesn't come straight from aerodyne setup. It's something that we have to kind of work into well, that idles at 18 to 2 000 that might that might be part of the problem. We might not have wanted to get a top fuel hat, but we also wanted to get a top fuel hat.
So you see the way that all worked out is now our car idle's a little high. Oh boy, dude, that is great yeah, it's probably water. Well, we got no water pump moving right now. No, it's still good dude.

It's just got so much air all right. We need some adjustments. Look at that closed up. Those gaps might work.

Let's try it. How high is it supposed to be in oil? Is that great, a little lower? Oh it's right! There all right folks, we're back. We got uh, we got the water pump turned on, which was the reason why we had a lot of fluids on the ground. Nothing like overheating your brand new engine to get her and ride.

That's how i do it here, we're hungry all right. So look at these tolerances way less, so it's either not gon na run, or i mean that one could use some work still, but we literally took three minutes to adjust. Ah joke. What's the water test show now, to be honest guys, i have no idea what i'm doing right now faking it till we make it right every step of the way ty.

This one, i think, is just gon na need some love. Eventually, i think, i'm just being a wimp about throwing fuel at it. Literally all right. Let me just start things off right.

Sorry, toast there you go really now that our overheat cycle number two is done. We know the oil is clean. You want to add the two bands, real quick on my way, all right guys so now that we've overheated it twice, we got the fans hooked up, coast's, forcing us to do all the things we wanted to skip. Dude it sucked the heat right out.

It was hot all right, i'll make it fat, i'm just scared. You know i don't like to change spark plugs when you're driving the car. You can't vow to lean it out, but when the thing's wide open, i think there's not bad anyways. Keep it cool all.

She wants all right: let's try it again, we'll be back folks when we have enough power to get this sucker going. We went ahead and got one of our ultra reliable ford rangers out ready for the danger. Ranger 9000 almost did the idle search. That was what you guys said.

I just heard watching fuel out of it. Huh well guys toast uh started idling low for the first time of the day, and i was quiet enough. We could actually hear air coming out of the spark plug hole turns out. The threads are cooked and we're gon na have to get a tool and try and save it.

Otherwise, we're gon na have to figure something else out all around tough break. Super super big, tough break, that's a pain in the butt dude, we're gon na chase the threat on that it kind of was misfiring, but i could hear him like there was air coming out all right. Let's talk about it, dude! What's going on with this unit! So uh the 240. As you can see, this is lieutenant.
No one remembers christmas tree race got the best of her crinkled, the firewall crinkled. All this grinding did some cutting of stuff uh. It didn't really fit in the cage that was in there or the cage. I wouldn't fit many rolls so cutting the cage out the cage needs to go.

Let me just show the people what we're working with here, and everyone remembers how fast this car was. So it was. It was fast sketchy like fast, fast yeah, so i'm gon na cut the cage out. Do like a 25 two cage and it'll look like mullet inside yeah exactly and then put it back together with some twin ninety ones, twin.

Ninety ones had to one up me: dude went in the 90s. I see you so uh nice down low in the bumper and lower the whole car down a bunch. It's gon na it's gon na be set. He didn't look sick uh.

I might try to get it done. 2K, that's a tall tank yeah. This is uh. This is a project i mean this thing is coming fully down to pretty much nothing and then yeah.

It's gon na be sections of the floor. Cut out tunnel cut out. I'm gon na rip everything out when i put it back together. It's gon na get like no dash full race car this time, no dashboard, nothing! No! Nothing like that! All right! What do you think of your uh, your fabrication room? This is a nice uh cutting ring because you don't got ta worry about getting metal and nothing and then also you get a breeze yeah.

The fans pull all the air from outside right through it hell yeah dude. Looking good come on folks, we got more to show you couple four rangers done this one's in for a cage. As you can see, this one's done actually just needs a seat, so check that out roll cage got ta, have door bars and a main hoop to race in the danger ranger 9000 - this one's dialed. This is actually your unit.

I think i think i don't think we just signed or picking again i know you want the blackboard, i'm not even the black one, yeah i've just bonded with that one i bonded with it. When i first drove it dude have you seen the prize ranger? Yet that's a bad unit that she's just as terrible, though yeah all right. So we got that one done and uh. You can see ty's over here, bending away bending it up.

Dude dude you got ta run that are you loving the notcher? Can you show the people in operation i'll show other people dang? Oh my gosh, it's so easy! It's like one finger operation, wow all right! I see why you wanted this so badly. After all this time you have 100 notches in a chassis or something or yeah. That's like that, you go in and you grind down these edges and clean it up a little bit. So you have a good surface to weld, but yeah you're living life.

You got the stop shears the benders all mounted up. You got the notcher, no more sticks and stones and rubbing rocks together. Damn too official. This is sweet, so just knocking out some more ranger cages.
Yeah, we got three done in two days day and a half really lost a little bit of the day dude. We are just straight operating here. We got, we got boats coming in now we got rangers, we got toast and then uh yeah we got superchargers. We just need some engines to come back for those two we'll be back on our way and then i hear uh mullet returns this week, so there you go looking good all right session friday or what maybe you trying to hit in the nova? I might you want some problems.

    love your work in aus. can i suggest more air around the engine via either a huge motor fan or several electric fans. and a glass or ceramic coating on the headers. many cars have heat issues because of lacking air movement in engine bay. i would even put 2 fans horizontal at the firewall to help suck air from around the motor.

    Pro tip: use packing tape to make to the tolerance tighter around the flaps, using a little brush with super glue works really good too if youโ€™re worried about it eating the tape
