Thanks to Ag1 for sponsoring today's video. Let's get to the live action. Hell yeah! Brother: you're on the please before on YouTube channel. Foreign Guys Turbo: Winner of the day? Are we gone? Rodney s from Bartlesville Oklahoma Wow.
literally Bartlesville Am I saying that. Look at that Bartlesville right? I Mean that looks like didn't know there was such a thing at the Bartlesville Dude: their tap water is Mountain Dew Guys: buy a t-shirt, a hat, a sticker, whatever. We're picking one random order a day on Cleatron.com and throwing a turbo in it. Let's call.
Rodney What could he possibly be doing in Bartlesville right now I Know it's more important than this. James Look up what they do in Bartlesville Oklahoma Brother: It's about time you picked up. hello Rodney All right since Ronnie blocked me I'm gonna call him from another phone. Unreal.
Rodney You want a turbo or not? Dude: are you shooting me? Yeah, you just hung up on me. What you doing in Bartleville? Brother: Well now you're getting a freaking turns key. Rodney Which one do you want? Brother 76. 6 All right man.
Hey, what'd you buy? It's a bundle of stickers, Bundle of stickers and you're getting a Precision Turtle A solid deal ing All right Rodney Thanks brother, Thank you man. See ya foreign I Just love the way these things look. All right guys. asked for it a helicopter video.
All right guys. Today here at the shop we have Paul Barth You can look. him up on social media Paul Barthele or Airborne Tactical correct and Paul's going to be training me today to fly this Md530f. That's right and look forward to it. Yeah, we're gonna have some fun and hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow I'll be sling loading which I've never done before. I've been flying helicopters a lot. I've never had an external load on it, but Paul's expert in that category. That's why we got him here.
We got a professional. Now you said Rolls Royce Does that mean like Rolls-Royce Yeah the Rolls-Royce Who makes engines for these helicopters? It's insane. Most helicopters have Rolls-Royce engine in them. Wow.
Interesting. This is the same engine as you know is the Bell Lone Ranger Yeah, it's got 675 horsepower and 675 horsepower. It weighs 215 pounds of motor. not a lot.
675 horsepower. Solid. That's pretty good. Power to weight ratio Very good.
How much does this helicopter weigh Paul empty. The helicopter weighs right around 1750 pounds. Wow. so we can pick up the organisms.
Yeah, this engine is typically in a 5 000 pound helicopter. That's correct. So wow. they put it in this MD and it's like the lightest, most agile helicopter with enough horsepower to do anything.
even put a freaking rope on it and a hook and pick up whatever you want. So I've always loved these MD helicopters. Look at them for sale all the time. I've never found the right deal for me I've never even flown one.
but I've just always loved the way they look like this is the Call of Duty helicopter. You know, like it's just a unit is what you're saying. It's just the coolest helicopter. When you see these, you're like damn, that's just freaking sick.
So look at that. It looks like a top fuel car. I Know it's You know it looks like a top fuel car. It's got a ton of horsepower.
It's not one of those helicopters that you know you have to really watch your your load. You know if you have four people, you have to take half tank of fuel. Not with this thing. It's got one horsepower to do anything you want.
One day we'll get one of these for sure. All right. Well, I think you're all about horsepower aren't you? Yeah, we're all about it's all about horsepower, right? Yeah, we're hoping to slap on here. Maybe we could do that.
This is Turban Yeah. I Know it is a turbo. So we got to do a bunch of ground school. First we got to go through the basics, learn everything on the ground, and then we're gonna go out and fly.
and then we also have Angel here who's hanging out and he's gonna be our ground guy for tomorrow when we really get into uh, sling loading some fun stuff. so so we'll get back with you in a few when we're uh, ready to go flying company. Yeah, dude. Carbon fee ready.
Dude. he's got Bo's headset in it. That's nice. Shout out to Acme Arrow Hell yeah, that's sick.
What's this thing? Oh dude? Hell yeah. that's pretty cool All right. So this rope is unofficial just for our thumbnail, but the goal for the end of this is to be able to transport the jet boat be a helicopter. We just did a bunch of: Ground School Learned a lot about the helicopter. we can't just go get straight into long lining. The hardest part about this is probably what you would call what did you call what's your term for it Vertical reference, Vertical reference: Correct. vertical reference. and that's flying at a high hover over a point.
Stable, Correct. which is the hardest thing to do in helicopters. So you're basically you're flying looking down, not out. You have no reference except looking straight down.
and that's the skill is being look down. hold it one spot and see your load as you pick it up and move it around. Yeah, so my hundreds of hours and fly are all you know. Hovering a couple.
I've done some tricky stuff. flying straight. you know, going somewhere, you almost never fly just in a high hover because it actually puts you in the most volatile position because if something happens, it's the most difficult position to get out of when flying. Correct.
So you know that's why we got Paul here. Don't want to be out here trying this stuff on your own I'm going to show you how to do it. You're gonna. You're gonna show you how it's done.
So we're gonna hit the road and just go do some normal training. Then we'll get into long lining hopefully. Oh brother. Button in Bolton just dropped to 18.
now it's back to 19. Voltage Voltage is important. Wow. Holy cow.
foreign. Let's just fly around. do some turns, go somewhere, do something you know, just but maintain 500 foot and try to maintain say 85. Oh yeah, 85 90 knots? Okay, this thing's very responsive.
Okay, it's very responsive. Wow look how low that temp is this. This is a the sports car of helicopters. Okay I feel like I'm in an air Corvette right now? Yep, Yep.
I'm telling you and look out your door. try to lean out your door a little bit, get you get you out there and so you can maybe seat seat down okay and come straight up over top of it. You can turn the helicopter sideways. It's fine.
turn the sideways if you need to. Oh, that's crazy. Okay, just come straight up and stay over top of it. You stop right about there.
Stop right there. it's 20 feet. Hold it right there. Okay, all right now.
he's such a goofball with my head out the window. Yeah, that's the way it is done. This is so hard. Okay, so come on down now.
just come straight down to it. Now. come straight down like you're gonna put the hook right on top of it again. especially in front of the flat spot.
Here, we're doing a little hovering. Auto All right. So we're gonna cut the engine off at about three feet. Yeah? I mean I'll make a little higher.
That's good now. I'm just telling the people. Oh okay, yeah, we're gonna cut the engine off and use the inertia and the blades to stop our descent before we hit the ground. Okay, so here we go. Okay. One Two three. Anyway, hold the pedal and we just cushion at the bottom. Boom.
Let me try a five footer. Okay, all right. One two three. Okay, a little bit early.
I'll show you another one again. Yeah, this is a competition now. Okay. I got you? Okay.
One more. All right. All right. Okay, all right.
you got it. Okay. I'm gonna do one a little higher. Okay, is that me All right? One Two Three.
Oh, that was a spicy one. Oh, that was nice. Okay, that was pretty good. If you want a challenge.
okay, I'm gonna give you a challenge. Okay, go ahead. You got the controls. One two three.
Engine failure. Okay, Yep, yeah. all right off my head out the window. Uh yeah.
I'll be able to do it. Yeah, Sure, sure. Tell me when you're ready to do it. I'm ready.
Okay, One Two three. That was even better because your head's outside. Yeah, it's not that hard. I was like how hard would it be? It's actually easier because you're watching this kid come to the ground.
Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, you know, So yeah. good man. good.
I'm glad you're enjoyed it. All right I am too. Okay, so you've done a great job. By the way, you're doing very good for the first time doing that vertical Grandpa Died Okay if I induce oscillation.
So if you induce oscillation and you come in, you stop like this. Best thing you do is just go up and then it will straighten your Loadout. So if you come in like this and you stop and flare and starts doing this, best thing to do is just you move the pendulum up and down from its its pivot point. You can stop the pencil.
You can stop the pencil. Foreign boats can't wait to get to about 12 13. go ahead, crack it. Okay, a little bit.
There's a tad bit more because it takes the first. There you go, the second Peak Not good. All right. Big helicopter day guys.
Oh cleaner has to drop the hook in the bucket. We got the GoPro to get the good angle on this unit. We've got some rocks in there, you know. Just in case you know, it gets a little crazy, but uh, you know he's got to know how to do these things.
In case you know. I Take the jet boat without permission one day and get stranded in the middle of the river and he has to come and save me. They're going to be coming any minute now. we're gonna be fired up.
You know what they say. Aim small Miss Small. All right. So our man Angel here is getting this probe in the ground for a pro bin for a ground because he said 200.
Okay, 200 000 volts. Some of these things can produce so this will keep anyone from getting electrodes executed. This is live action right now. Dude.
Yeah. Radio check. We got the MD All right horsepower looking cleaner right there. Lean it over. Oh this is so freaking cool. So stay up and then come down top of it. Okay, we gotta check the hook. This is insane.
This is real life. Oh yeah, that's what we did. Yeah, they popped it to make sure it was good. just checking the electric release.
All right. This guy put the cable up okay and we're gonna fly around a little bit and try to put in the bucket. Okay, and now pull it straight up. make straight clear.
Definitely moves around a good bit. Oh, not that much. Come in that looks. Yep, it's windier today.
Different wind direction. Okay, bring it on here. Don't come down too low yet. don't come down too low yet.
Come over top of your spot in and drop it down. Stop the swing. Okay. get over your spot.
Just focus on your spot first. More than the hook. Get over top of your right without flip in the corner where the forklift was cool for the helicopter. All right.
he's over the bucket. Dang, that thing is not that a light cable just slinging around down there. I Was gonna have to get her nice and smooth right by the bucket. That's it.
All right. I'm going around okay. they can pick it up. pick it up.
We'll keep watching it. make sure you get out clear the ground. We've got some clearance. Okay, before you move around.
Okay, this is so hard. yes it is. Just wants to swing around. Yep.
I Start slowing down right now. Just don't flare. Don't flare. Just kind of come down and slow down.
It's real easy foreign. The wind is just blowing the hook around. Oh, it's pretty smooth right there. pretty steady.
Oh dude. dude. so close. yes and any other helicopter, this would be like impossible.
Well, it's very difficult, you know. Jet Ranger Long Ranger Two blades and it's more difficult. Well, that's probably the most difficult. And then you go into the uh, the A Star which is you can't see outside very well.
You have to use a mirror by the way. Yep. I'm gonna go ahead and take a wild guess and say it's a little harder than it looks how to do here and then look. And the first one we saw here, yeah, he is so close.
there's always a second attempt at it too. Yeah, that's pretty wild. For the first time flying the helicopter, that was his second try and he hit the rim of the bucket. Yeah, it's pretty.
Got the hook I'm pretty good on the lips. It's probably a little scary having your body hanging out of a helicopter too. Ah, he's touching the bucket. Could you imagine trying to get on? You know how they hang them from ladders? and like military? Yeah, imagine me like.
I gotta climb up that ladder I Barely climb up a regular ladder? Foreign. I Feel like this is the one right here? I Got a lot of respect for these guys. Oh yes, man, yeah, this is it. Oh yeah.
I Can imagine putting some on a power line and get them in a wrong spot to stabilize your hook digit stable. Just start coming down. make your approach, just make it. make approach to the bucket. Remember you have 25 feet below you so come over top of it and keep on coming down. just real slow. Okay, try to line up on it. Boy's about as big as a helicopter looking good.
Dude, let's go dude. coming down, are you closer? Coming down, six feet above the bucket, above the bucket? Go straight down straight down. Here you go. All right.
All right. you got it pulling out. Be careful you don't hook in the bucket. We're gonna pull it up.
Good job man. Good job. Take a break. I Know I know you got Charlie Horses.
Fantastic. Fantastic. All right. So let's hook the bucket up now.
Okay, thank you. You're in there. Stuck her in there. Let's go back again.
Angel Hooking the bucket up. Oh, they're about to take the GoPro for a ride. He's making smooth. There you go.
You gotta make it smooth. There you go. He'll bring it to you and put it and put it in your hands. Okay.
I mean I'll do a quick up and down. Yep. Foreign. Nice dude.
Nice. Oh, they dropped it. That's cool. One, two, three.
All right. All clear. Okay, let's fly back around and slant. Bring the cable out, bring out the 75 and put that red lanyard on there.
Okay, on the end of the hook. All right. Take a break. Take a break.
Take a break. Take a break. Take a break. Okay, dang, that's a way longer cable.
Okay, well. you want me to drop a 75-footer Yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah. that that this 25 is nothing. Oh my gosh, yeah that's gonna be tough.
It's such a great sling machine. it's just too bad it can only live 2 000 pounds. All right. Well, we'll get you an MD easy.
Easy on that. Okay, go up and walk it over to the hook. Keep going up. Just bring it on up.
walk it over to the hook. How's our Torx attempts? Oh you're fine. You're fine man. Oh my Gosh.
this is so long. Yeah, this is. this is the one here buddy. Holy crap.
that's a lot longer. It's off the ground. Get over top of it. Get over top of it.
Thank you so much more. You're not over top of it and this is not considered a long line yet. This is only 75 feet. Be careful because you're not over top of it.
Okay, you're in the air. Dude, how are we give it to get some reference? Tell me how high is? how high about the grind is the Angel Right now he's about 20 feet. Okay, so that's your weapons. You're 100 feet right now on your altimeter, radar temperature.
Oh my gosh, the delay in between the helicopter? Yes. So now go around and try to put it in there. Oh brother. Wow, that is so challenging.
I mean I Can't imagine doing this at trees. Yep, how about in between power lines? And like what? Six thousand foot elevation, Ten thousand foot elevation where these guys are doing them? Yeah, okay, you're 90 feet. You're only 90 feet. So okay. just be. Don't go down your lower. Oh, it's getting low. Good.
That's acceptable for a check, right? Actually, you have to be within five of your mark. Okay, oh oh, that's a swinging now now. I Got one's window out of this. All right? Holy.
Toledo he's just sitting still and it's moving around that much I can set it down I'll let it come this way. I don't have to drop it. We we're gonna drop it. Give me this time, you ain't lying.
Oh holy crap dude. bring it back over to him and we'll shut down. This is exhausting. Yes, it is.
You doing it all day long. The most mental focus I've ever had to put into something right? I Think at this moment right now, do you wanted a challenge? I'm glad we're doing it. It's a good drive the truck out here in the boat, right? Yeah, Okay, all right, all right, we're gonna shut down. Okay, all right the controls and I'll have my Reflections on take a break.
That was great I Can't believe uh how difficult that is I mean I know after a while doing it you probably get used to it. but wow of course you learned it. Yeah yeah, oh yeah, it takes it does. That is the most difficult skill set in a helicopter for I Feel like an aviation in aviation all together there might there might not be anything harder than that.
The only thing that's close to that is Jets refueling and putting the Probe on the jet behind an airplane? Yeah, that's the next closest thing to this. Can you set that up for me? I probably can't. Dude, that's so hard dude. you killed it.
The only if I got in the bucket that was so smooth it was a five foot line. Very hard. 75-footer bro. that thing's like freaking shoe.
Yeah, we were saying that it looked like crazy. so the second one was 75 foot. dude. I'm telling yeah I'm telling you, that has got to be the most mental focus I've ever had to use in my life.
I Mean you're just like, you gotta know, the helicopter's good. Be thinking about if something's not good while trying to swing this pendulum. It's like just nuts. I Have so much respect for the guys who like sling these things into the forests and then grab people out and drop right? I'm like golly, what an incredible job.
Imagine waking up and then like having a guy on your wire and like dropping him off on a tower. Yeah, that'd be insane with wind and varying weather conditions and a helicopter failure. Oh man, this is nothing for the helicopter. Imagine your max weight, right? The thing can barely climb.
You're at 8 000 feet in some Forest trying to get trees out for some company. my brother I am going to lift up my beloved jumbo though. Nice because I have to I Feel like that's that's my goal is to be able to fly my jet boat into a river someday. So you got to do that.
It's got no motor in it right now. it's extra light. This is perfect conditions. Let's pull this puppy out Job man. What do you think? Buddy Man, you did it man. Yeah, put it in the bucket. Yeah, nice job and I practiced a lot before Paul Came just staring out the side of a helicopter doing vertical references and trying to do this Maneuvers around. But once that hooks on and you're fixated on that thing on the bottom of the Rope you kind of forget.
you're like I'm flying the damn helicopter. you forget. and then all of a sudden the thing's like weird. Imagine lifting a gigantic air conditioner on top of a building.
That's what Paul has to do. You even talk about pressure. and we even do some things. uh, some other unusual things too that maybe what I think we're going to do today? Yeah, we're going to do something usually.
Yeah, we're gonna sling load this jet boat. Yeah, let's do it all right. let's get it over here. James Bring her over right now.
I think Ty went and frayed the cable last night. Oh brother, this could end bad. Yeah, let's get in bed good. No.
I mean I think she's had some big Falls in her life. Anyway, for sure a couple foot drop off a helicopter now. listen Bud, if you take this thing off this trailer me and James and pushing it around, you got to put it right back. You put it right on the trailer.
You don't got to worry about that dude. Are you ready for this? Let's get this baby rigged up getting the big hook in there I'm gonna be honest, can't think of a single thing that could go wrong right now on your truck. James and I was like yeah dude over there and it got swinging when you set it down and I was like man, he's gonna take out Allen the window yeah, was that you over there? that was me dude that was so crispy yeah Paul does not like that. By the way, that's not how you're supposed to sling load.
It's not textbook, not supposed to predict your oscillation and drop it in even though it's what I naturally want to do. supposed to have a real stable Yeah? I figured that and then be able to set it down exactly where you want. So clear this is so it doesn't get to out of control spin coming down. This is so our ground signal man yeah, ground safety man can make sure the load is in the correct direction when it touches down upon this trailer.
Let me ask you guys, this is there a scenario where we might have to just dump the do boat from the sky? Oh 100 if the load gets out of control, the good news is in destruction. Yeah, and it's under a tie warranties. All right. So there is a possibility the two boat falls out of the sky today if it's a little windy.
Look at his face, he's like it all. seriously. I Know we got issues. 100 feet on my steak.
Come on. I Hope not, but it would be crazy. We are about jet boat to a helicopter. This is not a drill.
I Repeat. This is not a drill. This is live action right here at the Freedom. Factory USA All right. come towards me and lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower Lower lower and you are in. Hook is secured. okay. Coming up it's hooked.
Oh foreign straps are clear up. up There you go. All right, you're about 10 feet above. Okay.
Do you feel opponents around? Yeah. Holy crap. get a little higher. Oh wow, that weight is crazy.
Yep. Oh, it feels pretty stable though. Oh I Got a freaking jet boat on me. Gotta get it right back on the trailer.
Ultimate Best of skill s This might be the coolest thing I've ever seen. Oh my. God You're about 20 feet. Okay.
come on down, let's go over the trailer. You see a trailer. just never realized how high it was. That's right.
Come on. come on over. Don't go down right above it right above it. slowly.
Bring it down. go forward there right there. Set it down. That's the way you.
That's even harder. Yep. Yep. dude.
Oh oh, there goes the hook. Let's go All right. That was intense. Yeah, but that load is such a weird shape.
Okay, that's why the 25 foot line is a prong. My down wash is making his swing around. You understand? All right. we did it.
So cleaner. up in the MD helicopter, straight ripping it. This thing is a freaking unit. picking up the new boat, picking up the bucket.
Look at him. Yes sir. old. Captain Cleave.
Dude, it's a Certified Ripper That's so cool. That was good dude. Good job dude. They're gonna get out of here all right when we start spinning it at any point.
Were you thinking we might need to disconnect this? or oh yeah man. I Was kind of worried I'm just gonna dump that thing. it started getting too crazy. Actually that was totally fine.
Yeah, no. Actually, like I said, if it gets crazy, if I have a place to put it down to stop it, we do it. Yeah yeah, but if it's a load you can't put down because you're going to damage it. You gotta start thinking how am I going to fix this issue is you probably should use a 75 foot line.
but I want to use a 25 foot line for the video so you can see it easier. But then our down wash was affecting. The blood wash was going inside the boat and stirring the boat up. making the boat.
you know, stand and do all and move around so much. at 75 feet it's poured out of the downwards. That's what. How much do you think it weighs? I think you know it weighed about 600 pounds.
Dude, you know what we learned about Angel waiting on you guys? What trains snipers and Shooters to shoot out a helicopters? He's not a poser. We need to get that training going. You know what I'm saying freaking DeSantis Call us whenever there's a hostage situation. Yeah, we'll freaking get them back standing cleaner on their way.
They got their parachutes ready. We got a jet boat slung under the Hilo Chopper doors outside with a handgun Jackson outside with AR-15 parachutes. Careful a parachutes off our race cars trapped to our backs. Huge thank you to Paul and Angel for coming out here today. This guy had a risky you know he's down here on the ground. Yes, part of the job. Gotta love it. Yeah these guys train and do this stuff.
You know they're professionals. You can look up Paul Bartelli on Instagram or Airborne tactical and you know this. MD Helicopter Just freaking. That's right, it's so sick.
Shout out to Mg Helicopters Yeah, Awesome machine. Yeah. I mean Overall: I think today was a success. Well we've been doing this for two days.
We wanted to take our time because I had to learn helicopter then. but I Gotta say it was not hard to get used to this thing. I Mean it freaking just did whatever you want and at one point you know I was Death Grips But then I realized you can just be so soft in these controls. This thing does exactly what you want but we gotta do more of that and you put it in the bucket, you put the hook.
Yeah, that's right. Yeah, okay, that was awesome hook in the bucket and that's a very very hard. It was great to get an introduction to Long lining. Feel it out a little bit.
You gotta apply the jet boat and you gotta fly an MD Big thanks to these guys for coming out. That's it for now. Thanks for watching new film. Freaking see you later Foreign.
My jealousy right now is real! I’m living vicariously through you brother! 😂🇺🇸
Who else was expecting the A-team theme song to come in at some point..?😉
That was pretty impressive Cletus.😅😅😅
George commentary is pure gold!
Very cool, awesome experience! I've watched helicopters trim trees, also very cool!
That was so freaking awesome 👍👍
Let's take a moment to look back. Not long ago ol' Cleeter was putting whistles in his exhaust. Not long after that he was racing cars he knew nothing about. Honestly, the reason I became a fan and told everyone I know to subscribe was because Cleetus knew nothing about cars.
Now think about everything he has learned. Amazing amounts of knowledge on a very diversified set of subjects.
I have always been impressed with his marketing and business skills while watching him learn and mature.
Now lets give him credit for his amazing ability to drive anything. I was truly blown away that anyone could become competitive jet boat racing on their first try.
In summary, I think Garrett diserves everything he has worked so hard for, and I am honored to be a OG Cleetus subscriber!
Oh, the entire crew, family, friends and his support team … All #1.
Once again reminded just how natural a wheel man Cleeter is. 😮

Welcome to the world of Helicopters!!! I would've posted more helicopter content sooner, but when I got into flying them 3 or so years ago I realized there's no room for distractions. I've been flying A TON before and after work so I can show you guys this stuff as safely as possible. More to come but only in the right conditions. Hope you guys enjoy!
