Hell yeah brother you're on the policeman for on youtube channel all right. First thing, ladies and gentlemen, look at the shop we spent quite a few hours cleaning. Today we got her dialed in ty's, finishing up his area, we're looking good all right guys, so we're putting mullet back together. Today we got the last parts we needed in from jaisal and we're heading to las vegas to be in the street or as a true street class is our main goal and then we're going to try and enter into a second class which we're not going to Speak on right now we can't give out too much information, because we don't need people complaining already yeah.
We don't want people switching classes. So here's a situation with the true street class. It's kind of weird you have to make three runs in a row without touching anything, no tuning, no fuel, no nothing, but we're going for fastest averages fastest average. Overall thing should have no problem.
Yeah, i mean the only issue i foresee. Is it not having enough methanol on board to make three runs, but i think if we dial it back to like a bottom eight or a high seven yeah, you just roll it back to you know a conservative like 780 800 tune up shouldn't consume as much Fuel during a pass yep as it would be on you know, 680 rip yeah. Well, the prep at las vegas. We already know, isn't good yeah, so we'll turn down from the start.
If we turn down the car, then we're gon na win the class. Hopefully, we'll be consistent and we won't go through too much fuel, so zach is buttoning up the valve cover. Then we're gon na head over to bradenton motorsports park and try and make three runs in a row without taking the hood off and we'll go for. Like 8-0 yeah, this should be pretty easy on the car yeah i mean the only thing i'm worried about is fuel and transmission temperature, and all i got to say is: let's just make this one as race, where we don't change.
A lot of things like this is it: you know we'll throw the welded throttle body on there. Yeah. Let's not change tires, let's not change anything dramatic, no it'll be fine and then we'll go tested ready. So you can't touch it yeah.
I know we'll just leave it alone, yeah all right and believe me guys. If there was a faster class, we would join it. It's just the only class that we fit in, maybe one other one. You know we always fell back on stick shape with leroy being the fast class, but even last year they didn't have no fast passes.
No obviously leroy's not ready, so we're going to ls fest for the true street class with mullet, and maybe one more that we're not going to mention one bonus about the true street class, though, is you do get to go on a 30-mile cruise through las vegas? Oh yeah, to prove it's a street car before you make the runs, which is pretty cool, that'll, be cool, that's worth it right! There yeah right there, it's gon na be cool, it ought to run i'd say i guess we already tested it. We just found that little rocker issue after during your re-torquing, all right, you ready go, make sure this is cool. That would be good to have it cool. Are you ready? Air pump still works. The hell is that fuel return. Oh yeah glad i caught that very important step. You want your oil drain on for your turbo. Oh that would have been so fun.
Sam went hard with the polishing. Looking good, i mean look at these. I know i've never seen a polished hot side ever yeah fire in the hole. Oh, i might need some idle air there we go nice and smooth nice work, man double decking.
Those lines attempt number two. We had a little hole in our body, throttle body. We had put the plug in got all pressure. Got alternator got fuel pressure, got water down, got vacuum, nate's had to check the two-step, always got ta check it.
Last time we had a huge problem, always got ta check it. Well, although that sounded real weak, it made kind of right where we want to be six pounds of boost 5.8, actually just kind of held there. So we should be good with that we're going to try some time sam using some of the sam spray wax here. We go right here, you know the deal excited all the bottle's been selling hope this is very exciting to the born of hysteria.
It's beautiful, it's crazy car looks good. Let's go race: let's go it's race time right now, come on all right, guys, keep in mind. Our goal today is to go three passes in a row without having to work on the car and touch it or do anything. Well, that's the theory.
At least we're gon na be checking the fuel in the methanol tank, because the gauge really isn't that accurate, so we're gon na make sure it's still got fuel in it to go three runs, but we're not going to touch anything else. Theoretically, and as long as it does that it can go like a low, eight or a high seven we're gon na average. Those three passes together. We think that'll win the class, so we'll see also again we're driving into the drag strip.
So the transmission will be nice and hot, just like on the day of the race, because we have to do a street. They uh pretty accurate to our investing. Here we got a full five gallons, we'll see how much it takes. It's almost empty yeah.
Where does the fuel gauge even start? It's like about three quarters. That'll work, that's a respectable level, we'll take it and his two gallons wow less than i thought real, quick on the two steps, all right. This is past one. We have to make three passes without adding fuel, so we're gon na see how that goes.
Real, quick, so 8, 39. At 169., it's crazy seeing that car go go slow, it's hard to see it it's hard to watch it go slow! Oh! That was a 146 60 foot dude. That was too slow. 146.
60 foot. 8. 39 at 169. I think we clean up the 60 a little bit and we'll be right where we want to be see how much fuel i use all right all right.
Let's see what we've got moment of truth here, getting ready to take the cap over it right now, that's not too bad there. I don't know dude. I think we got three passes in it. Yeah i've been at an eight three at eight three, but i think we need to spice it up just a little bit. Yes, and even then i think we might have a little bit of room to play with here. Like really cool, i mean you probably burned. Maybe that much out of that, i think you're good, give me the laptop i'll spice her up all right so guys. As far as everything else goes, transtemp is 160 watercounts.
190.. We're good in that department. I'm just glad we finally made it to the day where eight looks slow, doing something right. It's like so slow going.
170 we're like. Oh. What did we do wrong? Yeah all right, we'll try this all right! This is pass number two 807 at 179. man.
That's it right. There leave it alone, right, yep, i'd say, leave it. So! Oh 147, 60 foot, dude, that's perfect! Perfect! All right! Let's get it check fuel right right! Next time, we've ever made two passes in one five minutes: yeah all right. Let's check the fuel yeah that is about as dialed as we can get right there.
That's perfect yep, we'll see if it backs it up. Yeah, let's check the fuel, i mean i feel, like you didn't use much more fuel. No, i think it's going to be the same, all right, sam, what we got moment of truth again, we're going to see these are going to be good, we're going to make at least three, maybe three and a half, maybe even four places, i'm just going to Be good because you're going to be oh, look at that yeah! Oh yeah, we're good we're going to do three passes, we're going to do three passes and raise someone on the way to the grocery store. Oh we're, good! We're! Good fire me up.
We're gon na have three in there. What are we looking at 200? I mean this is hard on the car, though the transtemps are going to be toasty after this. That's the name of the game. Guys is like balancing how fast you go.
How hard are you on your transmission? I don't think i've ever made three runs in a row without getting out of the car. All right pass number three still looking good on fuel. We didn't change anything with the tune, so we're gon na see. If we can back that number up.
808. 179 man. We got us a bracket car, that's right, consistency! Let's go dude! You got a bracket card. What a girl you're not ready.
Another 8-0 808 to an 807, the one before yup 147 to a 148. What's your trans temp, it was 223, not bad! I mean. If we push the car any faster for three passes in a row, i don't think it can maintain trans down. So i think 8-0 is well honestly.
I think that we are going faster than you'll go at the end. Oh 100, i mean we just did that in what like eight minutes, we probably had early runs, there's no way because at las vegas i'll have to throw my parachutes for sure here is so long. I didn't there i'm gon na throw my parachutes get out. Pack them get back in lanes with a bunch of other cars. It's gon na take time so yeah. I think you're dialed for vegas we're dialed for this class and then the nice thing is. We haven't changed anything so we just turn it all the way back up if we erase the other class yeah. Now, let's see the real question see how much fuel we got in there, 148 60 foot going 8-0.
Hey. I don't think we'll have no problems with their uh attraction out there yeah i mean to go 148 60 foot and going eight. Oh, that's like a hilarious time, sleeping yeah back half car the engine. Doesn't it's like this is then they'll be saying.
Why is he going so slow all right guys? That's all! That's left after one eight five and two eight o's, but with three eight o's will there be any? I don't know. I think we could go 790s before we have a problem. Dude. Look at that there's like nothing.
I don't know. Maybe that is like more than it looks like since, when have we been conservative, yeah right now again, look down in there again yeah. I know i mean worst case. It's got the whole fuel line full too.
You know, that's right, see the bright side, all right, i'm betting, there's some 8-0 right there. That's what i'm saying i'm with sam i'm betting there's an 8-0 well, it is going to slow down a little bit too at the altitude. So maybe we just leave that tune up in there yeah so to go in 8-0, we're using about three quarters of a gallon well, a little less 5 8 of a gallon per pass. That's pretty cool! It's not bad! All right guys! Well, mullet is back in action and ready for ls fest west.
