Why are you locking down the blower? I'd say let it spin on its own power. I don't know much about these in the hotrod context, but I was a diesel mechanic for a long time on Detroits, and I'll say that an 8v92 or 6v/8v71 will. not. run. if it breaks the quill shaft and the blower stops spinning. And those are not as tightly sealed as the reworked versions for racing. Even the 92 will struggle with the turbo blowing through the blower. I'd think just let it breathe?
