Today, i'm pretty sure he lifts it before the eighth shoot. Buddy put a little bit more early, make sure everything's, happy and uh water tap's good airfields are good oil pressure's, good batteries. Charging fuel pressure is great liking. This i like hey, ol, damn i want a 4.95 dude, what 123 60 foot 4.95 at 144 in the eighth two doing, an eight three roll, we're farting out numbers yeah. She was rolling out pretty good. Like 15 16 pounds of boost dude, i used to take 25 damn slime, going four nine he's in the eighth dang boy. This one's turned up a little more and then this might be our last one. We may get one more, they said, but there's a lot of people testing today so run number three: oh yeah.
What well that was not all we wanted. Oh bullet was up on the trans brakes so hard. It was backfiring real hard. I let off, and then i tried to go before the boost reached, that uh big backfire point and it still backfired pretty hard, so not ideal for sure everything seemed okay.
We definitely want to make sure we get that figured out big backfires big damage. Those are spicy you're, backfiring yeah. Do you think it was like losing crank signal or something? No. I was making a ton of boots.
Was it yeah how much uh i don't know it's not 10, which only ever left on like eight yeah. So i think he was just pulling so much timing out trying to bring the boots down all right guys. We were having a small heart attack because we thought the car was losing crank signal because we just installed the new crank trigger signal deal. But it's not that it was basically our launch control trying to build a bunch of booths, but built too much.
So it's dancing all over our table in the wrong spot. We got it figured out. So, basically, what i'm using in this to get it to kind of swivel faster? It's called a rev offset or three step, so it'll actually overshoot our launch target rpm and then once it reaches the boost that i want it to hit. It comes back down and what was happening was it was tickling the edge of it, so it was kind of freaking out so we're just going to back it off just a little bit to have it hold the boost and then we'll be diving.
I need ecu power. Oh i can supply that hey there. We go all right all right. Well, the test session is over.
We get one more hit, so, let's see if we can make something happen, hey dude, he's flexing on me hard right. Oh good run for the get down 7, 41 and 187 for 20 pounds that ain't bad. That is not bad, smooth, hey right down, broadway baby. Damn boy holy toledo burrito that sucker is fast.
I think i saw 20 pounds of boost what a rocket on 20 psi i mean before we run 35 that felt pretty comparable, probably a little slower than our personal best, but still good. I think a lot of the reason why we're going so fast on such a little amount of boost is the camshaft, but a lot of it's got to be the higher compression. Well, really, we have some really gnarly cylinder heads out too. I mean it's.
A combination of the three the frankenstein heads, a bigger camshaft, solid roller and the higher compression it's nasty dude - there's no way around it. I want to see what she can do. You stretch around a little bit. I think i saw 20 pounds of boost a whopping 20 pounds. What do you think it randomly? What do you think i mean i'm saying: 7. 44.. 7. 41..
187 good 480 flat 151 miles an hour in the eighth at a 480 flat 741 at 187. That was easy on 20 pounds dude, i was telling i was staying in the car cam shaft solid roller, so heavier camshaft higher compression some gnarly cylinder heads from frankenstein this thing's working, dude, yeah and shout out to fast forward race engines for making it all happen. Dude they got diamond pistons, they got the aluminum rods, got it all done before sick week and it seems like we have a solid car, so i'm ready bro ready, dude, i'm ready a week ahead of us all right. Aluminum rods is the way to go. They just need to be considered a serviceable part. Don't run 'em too long and you're golden. One season was my experience. Connecting rods are the shock absorbers for the crankshaft.
For some reason this car doesnโt do it for me. I feel like it hasnโt delivered the excitement for how long itโs been around. Maybe I just like the beaters more though. Love Kevinโs work and all the dedication you guys put in
