Hey guys, this portion of today's video is sponsored by the national highway traffic safety administration, guys right around the corner from may 23rd to june 5th. Local and state law enforcement agencies across the nation will be raising awareness about the importance of wearing your seat belt. Not only can wearing your seatbelt, save you from getting tickets, it can save your life. Take it from a couple of guys to wear their seat belts in every video.

You guys see it. Do your part and buckle up every trip day or night whatever. It is because the facts are nearly 10 000 people are killed every year in crashes, from not wearing their seat belt, wearing your seat belts, not just about you. It's also about your passengers and it's about the people at home.

Who love you the most and they don't want to see you get hurt click it don't risk. It learn more at the link in my description below that's going to do it for nitza's sponsored portion of today's video. Let's get to the live action. Hell yeah brother you're on the pleasement front, youtube channel, pretty heavy, not bad wow.

Surprisingly, surprisingly, pretty heavy those are gon na need to be gutted. These here doesn't get any lighter for factory door. What weighs more than a g body door, an elephant, an elephant? That's about it, that's the only thing possibly way more than a g body door. Is there race stars in the game with heavier doors than g bodies? I can't think of it dude, i don't think so i mean maybe a pickup truck, but these are real heavy.

We're gon na pull this off and weigh this right now. Are we ever going to use these again, or can we just drop them? I think we can drop them. Oh, not to mention. We got lightweight hinges coming too, so these are done.

Bud that'll, be nice family glad to get some fresh weight on these doors too. Oh yeah, oh brother, brother, these things are huge. It does not look like it's heavy dude, no joke. That is super heavy.

All right. You ready, she's zeroed out. It's like a team. Lift situation here - oh brother, here we go 82 pounds that is so heavy, not as bad as i thought.

Really that's a lot. I thought it's gon na be a hundred, so we're guesstimating, roughly 15 pounds of live action between the uh door, release the window, the electric motor, you know window regulator, that's all going to be transferred to the new doors, so we'll call it and we'll call to Clean 70 pounds just in door here, so let's get our our brand new rivers all right. So, ladies and gentlemen, this is the highest quality carbon door. You can possibly buy for a g body.

This is an ultra carbon carbon fiber door and just look at how light it is so look on the inside here too, like shoot in the door. It's 100 handmade carbon fiber. This ain't, no ebay, carbon fiber. This is a bolt-in door, so essentially you get it and it's just like factory, but there's no holes.

So what we have to do - or more so i should say what ty has to do is ty - has to cut only the holes that we need and then put in our factory window or electric motor, because you know got to keep power windows. This thing's a street car, you know the deal, you know what we got to paint it. I know everyone's going to say: leave the exposed carbon. I can't be rolling around with a freaking carbon black door, just in the middle of the car.
The alco looks so good, all gray, so i am going to paint over this. That is, it looks that is the nicest carbon fiber. I think i have ever seen 100. I don't think i've ever really seen real carbon fiber.

I know most of the time we see like junk carbon fiber, carbon fiber carbon fibre. This is real legit carbon fiber and you can tell by the weight because it weighs down. Let's see what it weighs. Look at the hinges: dude left off wow a lot of now.

We can hang a lot of metal there. Now we walk in the trailer, get out really easily just lift it right off. That's gon na be sweet, so the doors will pop right on and off. When we put it on the lift, we'll be able to zip the doors literally crack, it open pull the door off so that you know we're not digging the lift and stuff there's little dents on the doors just from hitting the lift.

It just happens, no matter what you do to try and stop it. These will just pop right off we'll have a little connector in the wiring just reach in unclip. It zip them right off. Don't look up how much these cost.

These were not cheap, really blowing. The whole budget for the race season right now on the el camino. I actually ordered these months ago. We got 9.5 pounds 9.5.

That is crazy, so 60, some pounds losing the door plus ty is gon na, be cutting a bunch of stuff. Out of this there's a good bit of weight. We're gon na have to get you used to closing the door gently. I know i'm used to swinging 80 pounds right out of the door yeah so and, like i said guys, this is factory fit.

These are supposed to require really no body work. I mean i imagine when it gets painted they're going to scuff it up a little bit to paint it but they're supposed to fit really really good we're going to get a whole time lapse, set up of ty. Installing these on the el camino all right well guys, while we were waiting for some stuff for the el camino to show up, we figured we'd tear into the old engine and just see what's wrong with it. You can see, unfortunately, just up here in the valley.

Look at that live action, shoe buddy, that's no bueno dude a lot of metal just sitting right over here. With this block, you can't really get a good look at the cam, but we have reasons to believe it. Maybe some of the cam bearings too. I don't know who knows we'd hope, there's a lot of metal on there, there's a lot of metal careful.

Now we don't want this thing getting damaged now, they're done with you, but i still love it. We pulled the filters the other day, guys. Here's a video of that i mean it's great oil pressure under throttle. It had a little pressure pulling into the shop yeah.
It had like 40 pounds when we pulled it really yeah 30.. The problem is it's pretty low yeah. So it's hard. It's got low pressure.

So the question is, you know if this has a bunch of bearing material in it, we're probably going to have to send it off. Oh holy crap dude. Oh my gosh yeah. This looks like uh.

We don't throw a gold buckle. Yeah, i'm gon na pour some of this out. Yeah, there's another peeler open to know she's cooked, but that big old, it's like a river. We struck gold boys real bad news.

This one here is like look at this one here. It looks like it's in there. Wow, oh my goodness, dude just taking hand you're done sam hit. It hit it one time: tick! Tock! You weren't here, buddy, i'm just not gon na tell you how bad the filter was you'll have to see in the video.

It was bad. I believe it was real bad. It owes us nothing after those fast, it doesn't know. What's in it, this thing was six, that's all it was destined to do all right.

Well, hopefully, the rods and pistons are good yeah. If the crank's bad we're done now just flipped over that's not ideal, you know look at this. There's a big old chunk right here. Man, oh yeah, there's proof that we had the o-ring on the oil pickup for the guys.

Who commented that i doubt it was a rod bearing that's about to say you just want to go right to it. Yeah just pull the mains dude. We don't got ta mess with this this guy right here. This is your culprit.

I think this is it. I can tell you it made some friction in here. That'll do her there. I think, we're not in too bad of shape.

Nothing looks. You know crazy, bent rods. Look fine! I guess with the eyeball who knows we'll just have to get to the shop and get them working on it. Well, at least going in ruby, it's going to be light work for this motor.

It's going to be a lot lighter, yeah! That's for sure! It's going to go without an issue; ah we'll see all right guys. So before we end off today's video, we also cut open toast oil filter check that out. We got the big filter on this for the big block, the big dog, oh, that sucker's clean dude a little collapse. No, that sucker is clean, though wow.

I wonder if it's making so much pressure that it's collapsing us, oh baby, toast said you're not done yeah. That's a brand new filter. What's that blue stuff? Oh that looks like silicone from somewhere. I mean there's a little bit of junk in there, but that's hucker's dialed! It's a little bit collapsed.

So i wonder if our like cold start, oil pressure is so high that it's maybe pushing it under that high, though heat, the damn dude, we almost made it a full year. That's pretty good fire! There boys, we tried to burn some cardboard and uh burned a lot more than just our cardboard. Yeah had some hidden burn piles. We didn't really know cardboard somehow caught on fire, a giant burn pile that was quite a few feet away and uh.
Now we're just managing that you know taking a little break from the shop yeah, a nice heated break in the heat itself. It is warm over here that sucker is burning right brother. You know what it is. It's your new t-shirt fire in the field brother in the field fire fire everywhere.

It looks pretty good all sweated out now after we just fought a freaking forest fire more like controlled burns, more like a controlled burn. We had that thing under control the whole time for the word go to now. There was not a moment where we thought we may have lost where it got extremely hot or nothing. There was no fire tornadoes or anything.

We didn't call for the fire truck next door, the freedom factory. Once we had this repair, 17 fires yeah, we didn't call for help guys. I know we said we started that fire, but it was actually alec. Well.

Everyone want to know that i think hey josh can you believe, alex started another fire literally out of control. Here's our five thousand dollar fire truck. We almost didn't buy coming in clutch for the so many times, 800th time, it's watered to freedom, factory grass saved our grass saved us from several brush fires. I almost didn't buy this thing and it has been the best unit ever this thing needs a big block.

Be pumping water to the next county, that's it for now, thanks for watching, do it for dale! We will freaking, see you later bye.

Paint the doors, but mask off a logo and elave some carbon exposed. gotta flex at least a bit lol

They paid you money to tell the public to wear a seatbelt? Yet still collect revenue from those who don't?
And states like michigan who repealed the helmet law on motorcycles? I'm kinda confused. I agree seat belts work in most all situations. So why no helmet on bikes? I mean ticket for no seatbelt but legal to ride on the expressway without a helmet?

I'm not trying to stir strife. Just needed to get that all off my chest. Please respect my opinions and don't beat me up too bad.

The slogan they use here in blighty is…. Clunk, clip every trip. Seat belts save lives folks. My other pet piss off is people that wear helmets…… AND DON'T DO THEM UP!!

The camera doesn't do that carbon fiber justice. I have carbon wheels on my crotch rocket and they look insaaaaaane. Very expensive though. Like 4500 for the pair roughly with ceramic bearings

anyone else just skip 2 minutes in to stop his incessant merch shilling after not bringing awareness to the RPM act which republicans signed….that medicine is bitter isnt it big guy? 7 minutes of carbon dooring that none of us can afford. got it.

If someone wants to die in a car accident you don't need the federal government to tell them that they can't 🤌

Litteraly pop the door open en lift the door? What about the power windows? You need to make a custom connection Gary.

Build a portable rack for Mullet's new doors so when they're removed they're not laying around getting destroyed.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lawton says:

You should do a ghost carbon paint job with silver so you can just barely see the carbon pattern underneath the paint

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cleetus McFarland says:

I'll run the doors exposed carbon for a bit if you guys want but I'm painting them eventually whether you like it or not lol!
