Dad said as soon as you pulled the first head – your timing chain broke. All that damage is the result. A broken timing chain caused the pistons to smash into the the valves that were no longer closing, and the pushrods were driven through the lifters.

So he pulled a 10 mil socket out of one of the Piston holes I would think that the socket that got left in the motor when they build it is what caused the problem?
