We always keep one of these in the trailer because there's nothing worse than walking through the pits asking for one. Yep, you said that I Know you said it before we left.

that's why I Always keep one on me. So we're gonna use this compression test kit to pressurize the cylinder with the air that's on board my trailer. Shout out to Adam for the trailer build out with the air on board that'll hold the valve up while we change out the spring that's on its way. Nothing about that.

No, we're just doing some grinding. some clearancing gotta make this thing work for us. Alex Taylor for giving us a valve spring compressor tool and letting us tear it up. tear it up slightly.

all right guys. it's the morning of day two we got that spring fix. Luckily, last night we're about to head to the gas station, get some fuel, and head to Byron Dragway Well, let's see how this goes. Oh wow, yeah, it's definitely a little warmer today.

ready to go. tune-ups in it, fresh plugs back on methanol, about to fire it up and do a quick two-step check before we pull up to the Lane I'll take it all right. let's go try it out. Dude, this track is so cool.

You gotta pull up here, turn onto the track, back into the burnout box. Oh, look at that shut down? Well whatever. let's just do the track. It's like we have a new tune-up that's a little bit spicier than yesterday 692.

but it is definitely hotter and as you can see, the sun is out so we're gonna watch what happens in front of us. We're a couple cars back from the front. we're only about four pairs back, whereas yesterday we're about 30 pairs back. so we're gonna watch what they do and then hopefully we can, uh, see some guys hook it and we'll leave the tune how it is they're not hooking.

Anyway, we're gonna pack up the car. Bad news is we don't get it turned in a slip for today because not every car on property was able to make it fast. Good news about that is we don't have to turn in an 8.9 Zach and I really wanted to finish this week with a six second average and that 8.9 would have made that impossible so they throw out the entire day. No one gets to turn in a slip today and unfortunately, you know we don't get to put in an eight nine.

But also, fortunately it doesn't ruin our average. so we're about to pack up quick because it's gonna rain here shortly and get back on the road. Definitely our record and someone. a lot of motivation you know guys.

I'm gonna have to get the ratchet strap out and bend it right back again. I'm worried he's gonna blow off on the run if we at all. Yeah, no, we'll have to strap it up all right so we're back on pump gas. It is pouring rain now.

So even though it's raining and our day got tore up, it is what it is. So we're gonna check the checkpoints here. Hit the road. We already got fuel because we fueled up this morning so things could be worse.

this is my current status. We got helmet blower blowing air onto the window. Quite no speedy and off, but we're out of the track on the road. The next couple hours are going to be brutal.

All right. this is really gonna get the fun going we've got Lovely. You know how much better alternator. Oh, back down, all right guys.

Well this is the alternator off of Steve's car and uh, just decided to die today. You know it's looking a little cooked maybe in there. To be honest, we probably should pull our belt off when we're making 8 000 RPM poles. He did tell us that you know what, we'll leave that off, but our alternator belt is not easy to get off so we run with it on.

The alternator is great for a while and I really have had a lot of good luck with these power. Masters but we have a spare. you know we're ready for this. Yeah, yeah, I'll get it out you start, swap rooski in it.

All right. Luckily Zach absolutely loves working on hot engines so we're good there. I Do have Fair gloves getting the alternator swapped. Thankful for our onboard power in the trailer.

We're at 14-4 already on the voltage getting that back up because when we pulled in, our batteries about done probably wouldn't restart it so drain a little bit of power still at 80 for the week on the trailer, that's pretty solid and we'll fuel up and hopefully be on our way. Good thing we got that spare alternator dude in the nick of time last second overnighted it. We got situation. I Think the problem is our oil is getting so hot we might have already heard.

a seal on This turbo right here is just a champion so we may have an issue where we're feeding this side. Turbo Too much oil might not even be the turbo's fault because we killed the other turbo and now the brand new turbo is leaking. Yeah! so when they rebuild the next turbo, they're going to let us know if we're over feeding it under feeding it and they didn't go from there. It's fine, it's just Legion Yeah, it'll be lubricating the inside of the engine exactly.

We have fuel additive for pump gas for the valves. Hey look at this equipment right here. Holy Toledo Yeah! I'm gonna see if these guys let us drive something. A random idea for you sir.

it's like Geneva All right guys. made it to the hotel. we're feeling good, car's running great and it's weird because it's like it's like 7 30 and the Sun is still really high in the sky. we're in Wisconsin We don't know what the hell's happening, but the drive went good.

Alternator is good. We got lucky today that we didn't have to turn in that 890 tomorrow morning. we need to hit a six and be on our way. We'll be at Great Lakes Dragway in the morning, but that's it for day two of six summer.
