The thing is if you've got the torque to get the tires spinning, you actually want as high rear end ratio as you can get because the higher it is the more wheel speed you'll have and the quicker it'll pop the tires.. a 2:1 would be killer a 2.3:1 is decent and is actually what Top Fuel use to do over 330 in the 1/4.
