Over the last couple of days we've decided that we need to take this old fat girl and lighten her up. We did a weight loss challenge. It's time for Mold to do a weight loss challenge. We were just talking about it a week ago, but now it's game on because we are in fact stuck in some classes that we are out gunned in to give you an idea of how outgunned we are, The class that we're racing at at World Cup required a 655 in the quarter mile just to qualify last year and the number one qualifier last year went a 586 at 243 miles per hour, so we really got to speed things up.

The only option we have is to reduce weight on mullet and there's only two ways to do it. You can just kind of do it halfway, pull a couple things out here and there, not eat dinner the night before trying to lighten yourself up, or there's the spend some money and go all out. and I think what we're gonna do is spend a little bit of money and get this thing dialed in. So we're gonna drop it on the scales right now and see what it weighs.

That being said, our options for losing weight consist of a front end. We have the stock front end on this thing. nice steel and big old thick fiberglass that's a lot of weight right there. What we're gonna do right now is unbolt this front end and pull it off and see how much this thing weighs because there is a carbon fiber version of this same company that made these carbon fiber doors and we can access one if we want it.

So I want to see how much this nose piece weighs and then we can decide if it's worth the money to buy the carbon fiber front end because it's expensive. but if it really is a big weight reduction, it'll be worth it. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you right now bud, it's worth it. Yeah World Cup You ain't losing much more I Don't want to lose dude.

So that's 80 pounds now. the carbon front end is still going to be like 40 pounds back on. probably probably 20 or 30. a little bit less.

46 Pounds 40 . with no water. Probably at least 20 pounds of water. Golly dude.

we don't need this or we're gonna tuck that thing in. Bring that to the swap meet. But remember, we don't have a front clip on it so we need to gained back at least 30 pounds and now we're down to half percent on the nose. Right now, it's about 55 and a half percent nose weight so we're still good when you say that's when the percentage is really important.

So probably another 100 pounds between glass window regulator. Yeah, The Glass glasses. Yeah, Glass window regulators I mean that's everything in the doors? Yeah. I mean these are probably 75 pounds in just Glass by switching it to the doctor Optic Armor All right, See where this big old boy weighs chew 31 80 and you're at Uh 50 55 on the nose.

Let's take the doors off real quick. Hardwire that connected, they got plugs, they pop right off. Yeah! so these doors are powered. Obviously you guys have always seen we've had power windows.

We're going to take all the powered window stuff out of it which is a ton of stuff. and we have OEM glass in these so they'll be lexan when we have the car in race mode. and then we'll put the old doors back on with all the power windows on for when we have a race week. now we'll have a little bracket here.

the windows will be fixed so we're just going to pull the doors off to see how light it gets. Without them there we go running down. Not light, Not light. Oh there, we got water bottles in here while we're waiting.

Oh come on. Okay now no doors, no doors. You know what's really heavy that I got my eyes on that tailgate. That tailgate's gotta go.

So you know we like to wait till last week.

All this stuff going as far as engine transmission stuff goes Zach's getting all that back together, which that seems to be going smooth. We're gonna get this sucker dialed in.
