Man, this just makes me mad, Iโ€™m in Vermont by the Canadian border. Our lakes are still holding a foot of ice on top, and day time temps are still in the 30s on average. The lakes wonโ€™t be warm enough for anything until around the beginning of June.

    Excellent video!
Modern military hovercraft such as LCACs have control precise enough to enter the well deck of an amphibious ship with minimal clearance while in moderate sea state. They achieve this control by using vectored thrust from steerable auxiliary nozzles. The early US military hovercraft (PACVs) operated as assault craft in areas where other US vessels, vehicles, and helicopters could not operate. Despite being hit by mines, artillery, and machinegun fire, PACVs could remain in the fight and overcome enemy forces when operating jointly with attack aircraft. During the five years of operations in Viet Nam, the PACVs suffered zero personnel (crew and embarked forces) casualties of any kind.
