Uh guys, our australian turf ski winner has called back. What's going on, buddy tell your brother, you just wake up very much. Thank you very much, yeah, no problem man. What time is it there? It's pretty late in the morning, but uh 7, 40.

yeah? No that's cool. We just called you it's going to be in today's video. I was calling you but uh you're, the first guy to win a turbo in australia from us, so congrats. Thank you very much, you're going to put it on something.

You got an lsu we're going to put it. I love it. I love it so cool man. Well, thanks! So much uh, maybe we'll see you at summer nets this year, all right, brother, that's cool! Thanks! Man! Thanks mate, see you around all right guys.

So i skipped the day we got two winners for today's video from may 23rd, we have kct from willis texas and all he bought was a little george head sticker guy bought a five dollar sticker and won a turbo, but it's totally at random. So you know that's part of the deal, that's the name of the game, that's what makes it fun and for the 24th we have rox and b from concord. North carolina bought some of sam's spray wax enjoy your turbo, roxanne and casey. You guys know the deal you might buy a sticker.

You might get a turkey placement.com after the video. Let's get to the live action. Hell yeah brother you're on the please, confer on youtube all right, guys. It's game plan day on the el camino georgia's over here.

Working on the freaking blazer, what are you getting done over here? Buddy dang balancer. On that thing we did sacrifice our uh transmission bound for twisted t, but we can just make a solid one yeah because she needs a good one anyway. Now i got that motor plate yeah, we got our flex plate. Oh don't worry about those sorry about that.

Our torch converter hooked up brand new one from fti brand new torch converter, get the steering fixed up. You see, uh jack stand. Put me a little joint in here come on. Look at this out here.

Remember how it's in such a bind. So now, maybe you know something like that. Oh yeah, that looks really good. Oh yeah, oh yeah, you know! Oh, we got our brakes put together.

Tbm's on there tbm those will be spinning until tomorrow. Still spinning, okay, oh look! It's still spinning. You know the deal tbms they go for a while. So we got to make moves guys.

We got to figure out how we're going to do two fuel systems. We got to get a water pump on here. We got to get a freaking alternator on here we got to get a fuel pump on there. We got some work got a motor in it.

That's it. We need everything we got. The easy part done. Some sustained life yeah really.

This was the easy part and then ty's got to build a whole set of headers, which is a humongous process with egts and the whole nine. Oh, we got ta get an egt kit, all right, you're done! Oh, you don't need a new key. You just need new bones new bones: do you get some bungs, my guy making it happen all right? Flanges tubes collectors, b, bands, bgt bonds, o2 bungs. Did you tell them about what we're doing yeah they're gon na? Let that be a surprise with the with the downpipes.
I haven't told them about that. We're gon na wait till that comes in. Let it be a surprise. That's probably gon na be their favorite thai time lapse.

Video ever it's gon na be tomorrow we got heavy lifting team, lift coming through waiting on fedex to show up and uh. I can start on. Some headers looks like our injector harnesses are going to work, which is probably the only thing that's going to work, so that'll be good there bud yeah. Let me see what do you got? Dude.

Look at this. Look at that man we are. This is gon na be legit. Look at all these fancy switch controllers.

We got in the house yeah, we got one of these in the el camino. As you guys know, kevin got us on to these and chewy. Do they work good, leash? Electronics? Do we get these from? If you guys are interested, they are bad to the bone brother, looking good, all right back to blazer stuff! Oh he's getting ready to fix this up right here. You don't want to get a new minute, be like.

Oh, we better wear the sun relaxers on that yeah. We made it a little time. It's been a while, since this bad girl has been in action actually the last action it saw was australia. Then we sent it right back to the blower shop to be refurbished, and here it is plopper on there buddy man, that engine looks nice and low yeah she's, not tall.

Oh yeah, brother. That's an exciting moment right. There look at all that space for activities yeah. You just pop your uh pop that, oh, oh, my phalanges, oh brother, it's still on there.

I think that didn't go good. It did not go well. Let me see she's on brother. How does that make you feel? Oh, so i can't even feel your fingernails hold on your mullet screw an inch just group yeah, just screwing it man all right.

We got to put this on there throw the hat on so this is installed now guys we ain't just putting it on for looks this time. This is fully we got gaskets fresh gaskets gaskets are on there. So this is where the big boy injectors will go. That's perfect, dude man looking good georgie that is sick dude.

Can we start it come on man? It's not close, but it's not far. No, it's not a little bit of wiring, but as far as the engine goes it's bolted together. You know once he throws those bolts on the blower bolt up the hat. Then we got ta work on water pump.

Wiring. We got ta figure out how we're gon na get the alternator working fuel systems. We got a little bit of ways to go. Get our eight gigantic injectors up here, yep we got the big boy injectors up front, we'll probably use some 220s on top and maybe just some 85s down low.

What do you think jack stand depends on how much we need to download to go down the track? Yeah we shouldn't need it at all. Should switch right over 220s, probably won't cut it up top. We need bigger than that yeah yeah we're trying to go eights with this thing. It's gon na need a lot of methanol brother all right.
So you guys remember when we bought into motion. We came up with these valve, covers, put a huge cletus logo on them, not our best idea. You know they were just a little too much cleaners going on for your engine bay, so we changed. Our design came out with these this nice clean billet machine.

Looking cletus logo just really clean, but you know you're repping, your boy, mcfarland racing and you get the motion. Race works baffled valve cover, so we switched up the blazer. We also have in town some arrived sensors, so you're gon na have tbm brakes. Motion valve covers and drive sensors.

You are dialed man. Look at that boom. So that's how your rife sensors come guys. You know the deal.

Nice, potted vibration, resistant, sensors for old georgie. Four bar map sensor, dude you're gon na - need all that i'm gon na need more than that 100 psi transducer all right guys. We are pulling into the freedom, factory and old neighbor, because today we're gon na be testing some stuff out on the burnout pad, which i'm pretty excited about. You guys remember on clutch kickers how once the burnout pad got wet well, historically, whenever it gets wet, it becomes really slippery.

That's because the finish we chose on the concrete when we first poured the burnout pad. We just went with the white brush and it wasn't aggressive enough. So when there's a little bit of rain on it, the patch gets really slippery and at our big drift event, clutch shakers it rained and it made the burnout pad useless versus. Typically, you know on the asphalt you could just keep ripping, but so, with the concrete being useless, when it would rain, we'd have to shut completely down dry the whole pad.

It was a huge pain in the butt. So today we're going to try and groove the concrete and test a little sample spot. So maybe we can run during the rain, and you know what car better to test out grip on concrete and an old neighbor and his big old supercharger. All right so guys check it out.

That's where clutch kickers! You know you see the path from that weekend. So this is a light brush finish, and this is an untouched spot right. So it's still pretty smooth, but now where cars have driven, it's really really smooth, especially there. You know that's just rubber laid down, but the rubber chunks off pretty good.

All in all, the concrete just turned out a little bit less aggressive than we had hoped, which is really nice for days when you just want to practice your tires last forever, but now that this is a competitive facility, we need the concrete to be as grippy As the asphalt so hopefully today, these fellers at mass traction can help us out. What's up man, how are you guys i'm good? This is the grinder yeah she's, all blacked out ready to go, got her all styled up. Two ten inch ditch look under the skirt a little bit: oh yeah, it's about 20 year old technology, but it works really really really well, okay, all right! Well, let's try a little sample spot yeah like a little uh square, yeah dude come lay some tires on her sounds good josh. We need more grip for the subie.
Everyone wants to see the subaru go back at it after that video. You know what raptor's in trouble was, what i know driver mod. It wasn't the tires. It was a driver, you need to hire the stick dude.

I know we just need to clone you. No, no! You want to switch. I break subaru's switch. I play subaru's.

I take the raptor yeah dude. I think that thing can beat your subaru yeah so in our industry and drag racing. We want these very, very micro scratchers, so we can embed rubber into it and create traction right, so it is actually increasing traction, but on a very, very small level, yeah right in order to embed our surface and then we have micro layers of rubber that we Apply over top of it, you just put a rubber right into it. Right, yeah, we kind of needed to be like asphalt right, so there are different techniques which we can use to get there.

So you said we might need a profile mill right. A profile me will be way more aggressive, you're, going to see about an eighth inch corduroy across the entire surface, like your pants. That was back in the 80s, similar to what you see on an interstate highway yeah with the grinding and grooving. I'm kind of scared to go that aggressive level yeah.

So after that portion is complete, then i would recommend coming behind it with this grinder and what we'll do is we'll knock the knock, the peaks off of it, because with that mill, it's basically like you know. A maniac saw they used to cut these uh yeah. Transverse joints with um uh, it's them, but it's instead of having one. You have 310 on a barrel.

Roll yeah cuts in and it cuts in. It leaves a peak like this, so it's ridiculously sharp and it will cut anything right. So then i'll come by with the small grinder behind it and flatten that peak out and give you like, okay, you know 30 thousandths of an inch or less. That might be the move.

There's no way the freedom factor could have had the easy route. We ought to get no, but it's if we want to do it, you know we love the pad how it is, but for competition i don't know we're just spitballing. The thing is, if it didn't rain, we probably wouldn't be thinking about this. If it didn't rain, then the fact that it rained we're in a different situation - it didn't rain we'd have no issue, but of course you know because of the rain, all right so guys we have this option which we don't think is going to be spicy enough.

There's also the profiler mill, which is like huge. That's like your interstate grooves, which might be too spicy and then there's one where it's basically like balls inside of a machine like that. That could beat up the top layer of the concrete and make it sort of. Like this asphalt, which might be the perfect in between, can we get a sample of that one? There yeah we can all right that might be the moon.
I need about two days we'll get everything ordered in we'll. Try it all right. I like it. That's what i like to hear so we're trying guys we're trying to make this place better.

You know long term, i think it'll pay off to have it so that we can run if a little rainstorm comes through. We'll have to worry about shutting all the way down drying the whole burnout pad because it turns into a freaking slip and slide which originally we loved. It was perfect, but now it's competitive facility we got ta, get it right, but i'm gon na end off the video there guys, thanks for watching over today, we'll freakin see you later bye.

With all these blowers ,ya might want to install belistic safety straps ,in case of blower trying to fly away, plus help keep em from taking out spectators watching ….running high revs n fancy fuels they could go pop……

I absolutely can't wait to see the George and the blazer tearing it up, running in the 8.50 index at rocky mountain race week! Or maybe the 10.00 class since it's a new build and there will be very little testing before…… 🤷🏻‍♂️ either way, I'm a fan and I'm or the edge of my seat!

I think if you can get the track to drain well and not have low spots, you could have the best of both worlds. It would be quick to dry without being too aggressive.

Check out your local rental yard
    I’ve
    Rented concrete grinders many times.
I have cut “corduroy” grooves, and no it does not create sharp peaks.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Landon Harris says:

I think the profile milling with the follow up grinding would be best. The slots will help drain the water away. Just texturing the surface is just going to create more area to hold water.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rusty Shackleford says:

I work in highway construction, go with profiler and buff it with grinder like they suggested. It will take out all the high spots of the pad to about an 1in and give the rain water somewhere to settle. Won't help much for 3in of rain but a quick summer shower won't stop the show.

George's laugh when he said "still spinning" was a hell of a sales pitch in itself. The legit surprise in his voice made me think "I might need a set of those."
