Definitely got some shavings on there. Good thing we have that because we just found some potential bearing material in it. calling. Steve he said he's not super concerned but he wants us to take it out, clear out the material, and then run the car again and see if it picks up more material, but there's definitely some junk in the Clearview Filter was not ideal.

at least we checked. Yeah I Know that was a very good call. Our engine does not pass the liability line yet still under warrants buying electronics at Best Buy Like if you drop your laptop right outside the liability line, you gotta pay for it. Yeah, technically we're still down past that line.

All we can do, test it back up and try again. Don't worry, it's fine. those injectors are so loud there ain't really anything on it. Run too long I Got to make it all hit and see what it picks up.

Take it back out, get a good look at it. This engine could have had a bearing on the way out and when he took it and refreshed it, it might not have cleaned up galleyways very well. All right, All right baby, here we go. Fire me up.

I mean there's a little bit of stuff, but it ain't like crazy you know. I was talking to Steve though. he's like I'll come slap some bearings in that thing. It seems like we gotta pretty damn good tune-up already.

It's the worst case. We throw this thing in the trailer and Steve said I'll meet us in Texas All right, Well, aside from the negative stuff that was our first 330 and how much boost we running 27. 27 pounds to go. almost our personal best, that's pretty good, that's pretty sure.

More good news is these pans are really easy to take off these Pro Mod style engines. There's no pickup tube or anything weird to try and maneuver around. you. just take off those two lines the perimeter bolts, then you got to pop it past silicone.

But it's really not too bad compared to the other deal. so we'll get her down pretty quick. Terrain's still pretty good too. Lowest point here.

See where some of that metal was pumping through and then you got some copper right there. But you know Pete's saying that could be from the radius of the actual journal on the crank. Oh I mean this isn't this. This isn't any anything.

Yeah, see anything weird yet? No. I mean honestly, I would just keep keep pulling them off because we see something. Okay, okay guys. Well we pulled the main bearings and they all looked good.

so that's going back together. Now we are going to pull the Caps off the rods, take a look in there. we're picking up a bunch of big pieces of bearing we just starting to. oh Ty What's your theory? I'm thinking that this is old bearing from before the motor got refreshed.

This theory is backed by the fact that this is the actual engine that we bought from. Steve We bought the one that threw eight rods had extreme damage and has since been repaired and that's why we're kind of chasing this Theory now. So I'm hoping that's all. I Love that theory.

But yeah, I mean that's the seat that's the cheapest Theory we got right now. That's right. What? Rod Are we on now? This is eight out of so I've done one, two, five, six. I'm on eight and seven now and they all look like that.

What started as an amazing video of us almost going our personal best on 27 pounds of boost 27. to now we have opened up all the main bearings and all of the rod bearings and found nothing that is frightening, right? I think there's still a warranty after I went through and torqued it? Yeah, we're not past the liability line yet. Okay Pete Did you see anything in there that you think could have caused all of that? No, we saw some, you know, trash pushed into the bearings, but nothing that was like a source of it. Yeah and everything we looked at and then we just checked the thrust on the crank and that's also good.

So well, it's 15 foul which I guess that's what he says it should be okay, which is what Steve said should be That all being said, maybe Ty's theory is correct and there was just trash I Guess we have to keep in mind that at one point this engine had all eight rods blown out and then C put it back together and started driving it and he took it on sick week and then gave it to us and it has the same bearings in it from then. So hopefully what I'm saying in all this is that this is just trash from when it blew up. I Don't know I Mean we went through everything we can reach. We can't reach the cam bearings obviously, but what are the odds of a big block cam bearing going out? Really unlikely I Doubt that's it.
