Hey guys, our winner, from the last day of the month of freedom, it's going to tim h from wisconsin tim enjoy your turkey. You got the last one of the month of freedom, guys. I hope you enjoyed the terpsy promo. It was a blast the month of freedom's over, but we got a lot of work to do.
Let's get to the live action, hell yeah brother you're, on the policeman for on youtube channel all right. So we got our tubes off of the header to the turbo. With our wastegate flanges on they're, all tacked up, ported out ready to get welded. I got this one on back purge right now.
It needs a couple more minutes and it'll be ready to weld out. Oh all right, we got these things all welded up and fully finished so once they cool down a little bit, i'm going to throw them on the car, we'll make our wastegate dump tubes out the top and then we're starting on intercooler piping. Hmm guy george has been talking about his banana bread for years finally make some from scratch baby homemade. Really you got chocolate chips in that unit, dude of course, dude nice little crunchier crust, but the wife covered her up a little early on, oh really, yeah.
I was falling asleep later she's, like all right guys right here we got some ls george's banana bread, chocolate chips, the spread on them a little uneven. You know 3.2 out of 10., it's not very banana-y, it's more like chocolate chip, bread yeah. I agree. I only had two bananas: oh you only have two bananas.
Maybe that's not dry. Pretty good, though pretty good bud all right. The marathon continues. We got, we got wastegates.
What do you got going? There bud a little cold side action. We are that close, real close that close, we got wastegates on doing some cold side, stuff tacked together and then it's done dude on the next one yeah. Well, then, you got exhaust, we got exhaust titanium, some titanium exhaust and then we got a couple, little odds and ends things modify the oil pan feed or return lines a little bit and stuff like that. I'm gon na try and get that oil pan off.
For you here in a minute zach doing wiring, we are ripping guys we're trying to get her done. We want to hear this thing just as bad as you guys do all right guys. So one thing we've been contemplating for a long time is trying to run a 315 tire on mullet and now that we have this big dog engine, we're gon na be running in the big dog classes. At the event, so we are allowed to run a bigger tire, so we might as well try it.
The car is set up for a 275, but we're pretty sure this 315 will fit. Look at that size. Difference boys, that's the meat right there, god dang! Well, that's quite a bit beef here. What do we got about two inches taller, maybe an inch and a half too damn that is sick.
I like it. I like it sam yeah, we'll see if that fits all right. Let's try and put it on there all right, so we had to deflate the tire. Those are my butt cheeks right.
There put the valve stem back in so now she's a little smaller would not fit before, but now we should be able to get it well. It doesn't look too bad kind of fills out the wheel well, a little bit better though i dig it. The only thing that's going to suck is. If we get used to these and love them, we got to go back to 275s for like tx2k and fl 2k. Well, i like to have yeah. The bar is clear all right. Well then, i guess we'll leave them on. Try yeah! I think that's going to work man, it can't not help.
It's got ta not help geez. We got about an inch over here, half inch over there. It's a pro mod bud. I think we're good.
It's not right to that far forward either. I thought it was gon na be worse. If anything, we can just clear it's right there a little bit and it won't be too bad. It's like sam drove it to high school yeah dude.
We could take the jack handle like in high school. No, no! No! No, you guys are done. Look at that meat boys, hell yeah, there's some meat sitting on the street there. You know i like to see some meat on the street brother.
I, like that saying. That's pretty good, got the meat on the street same and just like that guys. The last piece of the puzzle has shown up our converter back from eminem all right, so we got some stators, so we can tighten or loosen the converter as needed. Hopefully, don't need to do that.
That's some fancy equipment there, son and she is looking the exact same. So that's good slap that back in with our flex plate and we'll be ready to fire. This thing up all righty well, ty is welding per usual over there and james working on fuel system and water system and breather system. Zach is finishing up wiring we're getting some plug wires made over here in this department.
George isn't doing much and let's get up your tv huh that holly dash pro dash. Yes, sir nice eight inches we're getting there guys. We got a special guest arriving tonight, so we got to get a lot of stuff done all right. We're down here messing with some fuel lines, some breathing lines, we're about to pull this oil pan off, which apparently guys are telling me.
You got to take these bolts out these plugs and then you hit the oil pan rails from the inside, which is going to be really fun, so we're just knocking her down dude there we go. Oh look at those rods, dude yeah dang, that's the best part got ta clean, all the glue off all right. So now that we got these tall boy meaty tires, we are going to be switching over to our old rear gear, which is a 340 gear ratio and it's a nine and a half inch. This is a little beefier.
That's a straight up! Nine inch. 325. I think so, sam i'm not gon na start working on that now we're gon na have more gear all right. So guys these are a sick item.
Promotion race works check this out. It's o-ring, you bolt it right on to the valve cover right here right. Just these two bolts clamps on then that goes to your breather check this out. You push this button, pull on that zac pops right out, so you just pop your breather lines off then you can pull your valve covers quick disconnect with the o-ring inside it pretty sick. When you got ta, adjust the valves all the time so sweet. So we got ta pull the valve covers off and put yet another hole in them, but hey we're using as workspace it's a race, car custom, custom, alrighty guys hardest part of the day is about to start. We have gotten so much buttoned up that it means it is time to tear everything down you going ready, dude, armed and dangerous right there. So what we're about to do is tear all this out seal everything up snap it back together.
For the last time yeah. We got to go all the way down to the engine. Pull the engine out put the converter in the transmission, we're gon na pull the trans, but since we're going so far down on the engine, it's only a few more bolts, just pull it out versus you know. Everything for the transmission rear gear is done.
Wiring done right for the most part, three more wires, three more wires, so turbo kit is done. Fuel system's almost done water system is almost done. Oil pan is hung on it right now, ty's got ta, do the steering but we're getting there. Breathers are even gon na get put on yeah.
So, while we're doing this zach's gon na do the breathers and then shoo we, we should be close. What's your guess, how long is it gon na take to do this? We should be pros at this two and a half hours. Do this. What me and george you're about to do.
I think let's go hour. 30.. All right come on foreign. There you have it folks, torque converters in engine is back bolted in we're about.
To put the front plate on put everything back together with a whole lot of silicone. Well, all right guys, we are back together boom and ty is still fabricating. 22 days later. So that's probably your last, and now you still got the exhaust.
I got the exhaust once that flange and the steering and i've got a wrap up, steering and uh. This fuel tank needs a little bit of a mount. That's all doable yeah we're there. Water under the bridge engine is fully put together.
As far as we know, we sealed everything up headers back on motor plate. We got the hot side put back together. We're gon na put the cold side back together once we're kind of done working up here, but fuel lines are hooked up. Wiring's hooked up we're feeling pretty good about this, i'm about to head to the airport to pick up steve morris for the first fire up, which is very exciting because you know not only is he a friend of ours, but he built this engine.
So it's cool that he's coming down to see this and get on the dyno with us. So we'll, let you guys know when it's up and running thanks for watching do it. For now we will freaking, see you later c. You.
motion should make some of the more popular valve covers with that quick detach breather built right into the cover
Could y’all not get the cold housings to line up symmetrical? Still looks good, but I thought they would have had a fix for that?
I cannot wait for the next video, literally will not be able to concentrate on anything else. Your team is amazing, I hope you organise something fun for them after this is all wrapped up
Damn going full send on mullet just like he deserves… Hell yeah and Leroy is making a comeback .. ruby is about to be even more of an animal. Gunna be a good summer
Please for the love of God don't forget the oil. Not saying you would but I have watched people build and install motors and forget.
I've seen another Youtube channel with a certain private video that has me on the edge of my seat for your next video.
When building engines why silicone you use and not gaskets its the fisrt thing to sieze an engine if some of it breaks away and blocks an oil port omg engine won't go any more or no oil pressure lol
Use a tig trailing shield attachment and the normal Inside back purge for titanium unless you make a getto snall plexiglass box
That garage is full of nothing but magicians when it comes to racecars except for George we all know he's a disguised assassin.
I would like to know how Cleeter acquired his knowledge of cars and it would also be nice to get the backstory on all the guys and how they acquired their skills.
Looks like a great time to go No prep kings championship racing and go for the America list.
Sam needs a shirt with an Arby's looking logo that says Sam's and "the meats on the streets"
I just wonder:
— How much are the new turbos, sticking up as much as they are, going to affect the aerodynamics of Mullet (compared to before)?
— And with the rear tires, are there concerns that the rear tires may start rubbing on the tire well, when the tires’ temperatures warm and the tires expand? 1/2 inch and 1 inch doesn’t seem to be much space to expand safely; imagine having a tire or both tires get cut or blow out?
been watching ya'll for the longest time. Love what you guys have turned the channel into. Zach and Ty are the mvps. Also, my girl said its time to change up the timelapse music since its been the same for 3 years lmao. I have to agree
What’s up with the 65+ thousand views and ONLY 7k+ thumbs up ?
Maybe I’m missing something
