All right guys. Well, we're back in Florida and we gotta call our turbo giveaway winner of the day. As you guys know, we're putting one random turbo and one random order off please. I'm falling every day and as you can see, we only have two 64 millimeter turbos left.
We have a ton of 76s and a whole bunch of 88's A month is not over. Our winner from yesterday. The eighth is John C from Dora Alabama hello hey this John John's Cletus Brother Bro, you know why I'm calling you yeah, you're getting a damn turbo brother. Hell yeah.
What do you want you want? We got two 64s left, a bunch of 76s and 88s. What do you want? Brother: I'll take a 64. taking a 64. All right? John We'll put it in your order Brother: hey man I Appreciate you watching dude I Appreciate you hey man.
All right brother. we'll talk to you soon. Thanks so much. Hell yeah brother.
you're on the Please before on YouTube channel. Yeah, the solo one might be your best bet. You gotta act like you're walking by him though. and then you pull a Switcheroo Oh see, he's already on to you.
Yeah, there you go. Act like you. Yep, just keep looking around. I Thought you're taking a phone call.
You totally could have got him. You went down dude. Sorry guys, my friend's an idiot. Oh Motion Race Works Folks here we are back at Motion! How you doing Brother: Hello Catherine I'm John Good job driving that pace car out there this weekend Brother: ready to make some uh, science videos? man? Yeah, we're here to test.
Parts Yeah, it's my favorite day of the week, dude. All right, let's make it happen. All right guys. We got a couple experiments going on here at Motion Race Works, one of which is gonna be this truck owned by this fella.
CJ Yep, how's it going guys who's been racing the Christmas Tree Drag Race for years now? Yeah, all three. All three? Yep, and uh, dirty Derbs racing on? YouTube So you should check that out because he was kind enough to let us borrow his truck for this project. Yep, you worried at all slightly. Doug Sent me a text and his wording was what rear end do you have in your truck and do you want to have some fun? Oh man, it sounds super sketchy but I'm in.
Yeah well you get a free set of TBM breaks out of it. Worth it. That should be worth it. All right guys.
Today we're going to test some TVM brakes to the max. First thing we got to do is install some TBN brakes on this good old truck. Can we look under the hood real quick? Yeah. absolutely.
How much power is she making these days? Um, it's 13 or 1400. I should be plenty for what we got to do I Hope so. Hell yeah. Good old twin turbo LS in this unit? Yes sir, that's awesome man.
I Got inspiration to do this? Remember the like Bugatti videos that went super viral where they test their brakes on like that crazy cell. It's like, well, we don't have one of those so you just needed some poor guy that was willing to tear some stuff up I Know some guy who's willing to just you know, have some fun. You know? Yeah. go to the max. Well thanks for showing up and doing this. No problem. All right So we'll get with you guys in a little bit. We're gonna install some Tbms on this bad unit and then we're gonna try and Destroy them.
We honestly don't know what will happen. Yeah I mean we might not. What could go wrong? Uh I can't think of a single thing. Yeah I Want a unit? Dude.
Tailgate too good. All right guys. Test number one of the day. we're gonna see if these quick seal clamps can really hold some boost Sam What do you think? This contraption over here buddy? I have seen some Contraptions before it I Think this may take the cake right here.
Yeah, this is gonna be good. We don't get a safe distance over here just in here just in case. there you go. How much boost do you think it could hold? I Mean well I think it can comfortably hold my 10 bar but I just don't know how much is 10 bar 150.
I think it'll hold 100. Okay, so essentially what we have here is these quick seal clamps. right? You see these on mullet, they're on mullet, they're on McFlurry And when you buy this kit, okay, it comes with these flanges like weld them onto your charge pipe. Imagine this is the charge pipe on your race car.
Then you slide this ring on over the O-rings Then you just slide your band on. gotta worker around a little bit, then she pops closed, put your pin in and now this is ready for some boost. and you can literally move it around. So if your welds aren't perfect on your flanges, you know you get some wiggle room.
But I See people post online do these really hold a lot of boost? We're gonna find out. We gotta freaking gauge. We got a full bottle of CO2 What could go wrong? We haven't tested it at all before. You just blast it.
I will maybe suggest gradually pushing it up. Oh yeah, that's what we're gonna do. Okay, just in case that's the longest line we got here I Thought picking up that truck was a lift playlist in a serious situation. Okay, now I'm getting a little bit nervous shot.
everyone's squint okay this whole time. Yeah, okay. bottles got 700 PSI in it so that I think that'll get us to where we need to be. Definitely don't need to go that high.
All right here comes the Boost boys suspense is killing me. Dude, oh does she Is she standing out? That's pressure. Oh yeah. straightened out.
Yeah, yeah. we got 20 pounds. dude. 20 pounds of boost in there.
This is like turning jack stand loops with a scramble button dude. so it's not a good idea. Okay, we're 30 pounds of boost. 50 pounds of boost she's holding Good man.
Oh it's showing 80 on the back. 80 over here. Oh my god. let's just go to 100.
All right, you know an engine 100 pounds. We gotta know the limits. Last word: I Don't know. Don't go to the limits.
120. 100. you got the engineers nervous? What are we at? What are we showing George we're at 120 125. Oh 100. Okay, all right, it should bleed down. Oh, it's still got 150 pounds of boost in it though. Yeah. I Want to feel it? Oh really? I don't know why I just want to touch it.
150 psi Regulators We couldn't get her all the way. you know, to where we really were going for. But all in the same time, we proved that these clams can hold some serious boost. If you're running over 100 pounds of boost, you're good brother.
I Mean you're good to 160. We know for sure. So clearly these things ready to rip and then look at this ready to take it apart. Unclip it.
Boom. Pull off the easy clamp. Done! So check out these motion quick seals they can hold a lot of boost All right. Next Product test: You ever get so amped up while you're driving that you just want to rip the steering wheel off the column.
So Today we're going to test out these Motion Race Works Quick Release Steering Wheel Adapters and they've got this really unique shape that makes them easy to put on. Basically you just slide around there, pull, pop her on, and there is almost no play at all in these steering wheel adapters. That's what I love about them the most. and then when you want to get out of your car quick release.
They're just so dang smooth. look at that All right! So these are SFI approved already, but we're going to show you just how strong they are. All right. So our next test, we've got the Motion Race Works Quick Release Steering Wheel Adapter Okay, and we have a Scheister Forklift.
Then out here we have look the end of a steering column on a hitch. How much can a human really pull on a steering wheel? I Don't know, but we're gonna use the old less than seven thousand. Pounds Yeah, we're gonna use this truck and we're going to see how high we can lift it up. Obviously because the design of our hitch thing you know it's going to kind of pull it as it goes up.
Not sure how that's gonna work out, but we're not really thinking that far ahead. You know what I'm saying. So let's get into it all right. Bud Nice shyster forward.
Let's go ahead. let's go ahead and put this out there. I Mean you ain't falling nowhere near what? This guy's phone? Oh this forklift. Much more capable than this rope.
And the steering thing is aluminum dragging it along. Oh man. Brand spanking new. that's you.
Gotta test them. You gotta test them. Oh good. Oh jeez, Dude.
Unreal. All right. So all we're gonna do. let's pop it right on there we go.
that's a little janky. should be fine. All right everyone. Safety Squints On guys.
All right, the only one to stop. Doug What's the point? No shot? I Mean oh my gosh dude. Dude. Oh my gosh dude.
Oh well. it's gonna break the well. yeah, just probably. Oh, he did the metal.
you know, multiplied by a bounce, your steering wheel quick disconnect might come off. All right guys. The next test we're gonna be doing is using CJ's truck that you just saw and we are going to run this thing up to speed and then clamp the brakes and then do it again and again and again until those are glowing. Red Hot is the hopes now? Typically with a stock rotor that we just pulled off his truck, you'd warp him and they'd just be probably ruined from doing something like this. Our hopes are that the Tvms hold up good. It's kind of the whole design behind this revolution rotor. uh, the material. The process are designed to glow red hot, turn orange, turn white and then come back to normal and be reusable, designed to balance the heat all the way across the surface of the rotor and stay flat.
So the goal is when we do this and we're all said and done. We can keep the rotors, just change out the pads. probably. Yeah like every weekend we get Monday morning comes somebody had emergency stop where their parachutes blew off at like 200 mile an hour.
We get pictures like what you're about to see and they're like what do we do just keep running them, put some new pads on if you need to but otherwise you're shooting. You should be good to go. These rotors have about 6 000 miles are off my Nova hundreds of passes from 880. plus yeah they're still good.
They're still flat and you know, mullet weighing in at 3 500 pounds going 220. she's a big girl and she can survive so we're gonna, uh, try this out. CJ you ready I Suppose What could go wrong? Nothing okay, nothing at all. All right.
They work all right so he's gonna have to like power and break it a little bit. Okay, get him going I'll I'll report back all right Stephanie Dude oh my God oh my God me me oh my God I'm gonna do it. Holy crap Oh my God I'm gonna do it. It'll blow out in a second.
Cars all the time. How are we doing? Oh my God that was so good. What's it down? Almost Dude, it worked perfectly. You can shut her down I Couldn't tell if it was working all of a sudden I Seen Sparks just flying out.
It worked. Amazing Dude yelling if you want your truck get hot at all uh is that 180. did you set your rev limiter lower? Is that what that was So when we talked about it, you said you wanted it to 150. So I did the math on the on the tire size.
so I set the rev limiter at 5800 which would be 150 miles per hour. That was perfect. There's still six. the heat gun won't even read it was over a thousand.
Yeah and those Brothers Damn. Still perfect. That's all concept of this rotor. Dude, look at that.
Perfectly straight no matter how you put it on there. Honestly, the pad material cooked on there is about the only thing yeah. like top to bottom, front to back, they're still perfectly straight. Yeah, they're tight.
Bolts stayed tight. That's good. Yeah, it's a bonus. Oh the pads. they are crispy. I'll get them in the light. Wow. You want to slide one out.
Pretty easy to pull them up? Yeah! I've never done this before. Suckers Are solid dude. Thanks for the help.
Tuck your legs over the wings bro!
