Thought you guys might find this pretty cool. The Star Creations Guy sent this to me. This is the map out of Leroy that they did I Mean it goes all the way down to the freaking turbos. You can see in front of the turbos right there.

Now they just mapped basically the outside pieces of the car the parts that protrude the most. because when they build this body, they're going to be building it around all these roll cage bars. It's not just a normal C5 Corvette So it's pretty neat to see Leroy mapped out. But let's get to the video with star.

All right. so these guys, where are you guys located? Plant City Florida Plant City Right up the road, Right up the road. they make monster truck bodies. We got in touch with them through our new monster truck friends.

Tom FY So now you guys are thinking you can build a body for this 100% 100% How many bodies do you guys make a year? Dude, We just finished our 28th monster truck body as in New Go! So we're 28 monster trucks in at this stage in our career and then every time they roll them, you? Yeah, we build hundreds of bodies. All right. Well, I Hope we don't call you? for multiple but we will have a mold so scratch it or something we can replace. it blows up by accident.

Purpose: Are we going aerodynamics or are we going like Eagle do might be an option. Making a bald eagle a live bald eagle was fine. We get the true division. We need a bald eagle body when we're racing slow people.

We'll put the bald eagle body on. Then we get the finals switch to the aerodynamic. Really make feel terrible about better idea. We're allowed 45 in from Center Line of front wheel.

The tip of it our pecker is a bald eagle head coming out of the front. Interesting. that's I've said bald eagle the whole time. Hey Listen I'm open to ideas on my own time.

I'll design a bald eagle body for it and then we'll see what happens. Okay, it is just fiberglass and just swap it out. It's not. Yeah, we talked about doing carbon but the thing is they do fiberglass.

That's that's kind of their thing. We can do carbon but we don't specialize in it. We we already add weight to Leroy to make him where he has to be to kind of work good. So when we put the body on which will weigh what 40 lb difference between carbon and fiberglass totaling the body will weight it be 100 pound or less.

I mean so it'll probably be it'll probably be 80 pounds I would more than likely. So yeah we have over 200 lb of ballast just sitting on the car. so when we put the body on we our weight. Yeah we can make no, no, we want life but then we'll just pull some of our weight off and we'll be right back where we started.

But we'll have aerodynamics so much and also we've already had some meetings with the company. We are going to be getting a wind tunnel uh program so we will wind tunnel this in the computer before we build it and then you told me you have access to an actual wind tunnel so we can compare the two and so it's way easier to make changes in the computer. We'll get you close in the computer. Have you seen the numbers on the drag on this? No.

but I hear you talk about I'm trying mean just it's something like 600 700 horsepower of drag at 200 mph. So like that's the horsepower it would need to just maintain to one thing I do want to try and do on the body if possible I I don't know is I want it to be at the funny car body. so I don't know if it'll need to hinge back here but I thought it'd be awesome if it just like 100% fils up and then I jump. Now the hinging and all that that's up to.

Probably your boy right? We'll make that body look sick and then I I'll give you a hand but you don't want me putting a hinge on this thing. So the other thing too though if we do that we still have to have a door exit. so I don't know if it can just be like just the exit so it can be pop. Can it pop? You just need? Well it needs to like.

I I need to be able to push it out. so if I catch on fire like I need a way to get out and normally a funny car is through the roof but because we have this I'll have to come out here which could you do like a hinge on the door in the front so won't come and just do like Christmas tree pins, plastic cuz you can hit those. that might be nice because then too if we don't feel like using the funny car body I can just get into. but if we do want to use it then I at least have pins.

Literally we can build anything so like we got the right. P I was just about to say R Creations yeah s a r r Creations that's custom bodies but what are you doing today? You're going to scan it. We're going to scan this. Uh, we have a 3D scanner.

We'll scan it. Jesse is your design guy so he will put it in the computer and you'll probably be getting a few phone calls back and forth, some text messages emails making it. Make sure you're happy with what's going on cuz once we go to cutting this on the CNC machine and making the the plug and the molds once that process starts, we don't really want to make changes so we'll dial it on the computer, he'll get that going for you and then once you're like green light let's go let's build this thing. we will start cranking dude I'll start cutting foam and making now.

one thing I have been meaning to talk to you guys about is what body we want to do. I kind of want to do a C7 that's what you want 100% I Can't wait to run the car with no body, same exact tune, put the body on and R it because for years everyone has been like it's going to be so fast for the body. we'll see what it really does. So our big worry is what if it's not then we are basically complete garbage and everybody in the country is going to hate us so no pressure for Star creation.

There is no way no possible way. I mean not for nothing. The fastest stick shift Corvette in the country world is this unbodied car. You guys probably don't even know this cuz we try not to indicate too much but the parachute comes off the car and comes back in the car like one out of every five pass just because of the turbulence.

Yeah, we have the2 cranked up. For the most part it launches it back, but not. It's pretty common for it to come back into the car like land in the passenger seats. It's like the cans in the back of the pickup truck that just start floating around are so bad.

B Alone would be nice to have the ability to have a parachute that open. You know, have safety equipment that works that's cool all right. Well you guys do your things. Question: what's that? What's your time frame on this? Whatever you guys can do.

We're not say that I'll spend a year on this thing. People are like, well we needed 14 days and uh, you know well I mean it would be cool for you guys I don't to sleep, you know? Listen, he's already the raining Champion without a body with a body I mean it's only going to get better so we don't really care. Whenever you you guys can kind of get it going, we're good all right. Well I guess you guys do your thing.

scan it, just make sure you don't scratch it and we're good. Yeah, lit on that. All right. Well big thanks to Star Creations for helping make this happen.

I'm super excited we're going to have a a body Leroy Big deal. It's a big deal man. it's going to be cool. six years I Think people have been telling me to get a body I think that's how long I've had this car now.

Six years and people are finally getting that body. Dude, look at this. Leroy Got the chickenpox getting scanned up over here. Dude already got a tire on the computer.

This thing is dialed. Oh yeah, they are reflective all right, so that's how the scanner sees It all looks pretty cool like that. It's a pain though. Yeah, yeah, that looks like a little bit of a pain.

Man, this is looking pretty good. I'm kind of digging the blue. yeah, might inspire me to paint the cage or something. Oh man, people might hate on you for that.
