Hell yeah brother, you're on the please before on YouTube channel. Time to put this: Steve Morris SMX Billet Big Block in mullet. All right, good job boys. Just like that we got her in there, took about five minutes.

Hit the key Bud hit the key they didn't say how to mount it. plywood and two buttons I mean plywood motor plate I would put Rodney's in like that so I don't see one All right? Well we got the transmission up in here but come to find out we start bowling together and he is too tight and we're not even touching yet. we still have. we're not even tight.

we've got a little Gap right there. All right. After lots of trial and error, we got us a nice little SMX jig here. me and Zach just invented it actually? Yep and uh yeah.

So we're trying to figure out what we got to do to make this work and we have very precise measuring here. See, even though we're super good at math, we like to see it with our own eyes. The only way you can tell for sure. Yeah, we don't want to go to the store and buy the wrong thickness of plate so we went ahead calculated with math and science.

Yeah, that is going to be 3 8 exactly to give us 3 16 gap on the converter to the flex plate and it actually gives us like I think ten thousandths more right? Something like that. So we want to simulate it and we use 3 8 Allen keys because 3 8 because they're 3 8 bolted it up, measured our stuff here. Now our converter is right where it needs to be. Worst case, we can give a little shim with a washer for that extra ten thousand.

So now we got to get Old Tie to make us a 3 8 motor plate and then we're just gonna have to deal with the rest as we go. Foreign foreign businesses. This old coolant setup isn't going to work. We have to cut this off James Went ahead and made this for me, so I'm gonna stick that roughly like that, but flush and then I'm going to make a little box and cut all this out and close it off and that will be all of our coolant returns and that will solve a bunch of issues we have.

All right, So we're ready to shove this thing back in. We got our crank pick up here trimmed off. this thing was about this long. now it's this long so that was hitting our steering rack.

that's going to be out the way now and we got our torque converter, spacing all measured out. Ty made us some new MID plates. We went ahead and doubled down for the spacing and strength. We got steel and aluminum.

It's a party time to get this thing stabbed in there. I'll get the transmission made it up to it and Ty's gonna start cutting some stuff up right there. All right. So we got the motor in before I can do the front plates and before he can finish all the plumbing, we got to get these turbos from Precision back on the car and then we can see where things will and won't go.

Holy Toledo Shinier down there now. Whoa! This is incredible How much changing went down on Mid plate motor plate stuff and that's it. So the transmission didn't have to move. No, no, we just moved everything forward off of the mid plate.
So all this grew this way. So we got our turbos freshened up by Precision turbo. Wow. Brand new.

Wheels They don't even look like the same turbo. Yeah, those are brand new. Wheels Okay, bead blasted your houses. Oh dude, my Freaking.

John Force Fingerprints gone crap. Nice guys on there that'll hold that there brother that looks incredible Samuel What do you think? I'll tell you what, there's some horsepower sitting right here waiting to get out of there. That's a unit brother. There's a unit right here.

Man, there's loads that's a unit all right. So we got the turbos hung and instantly we have problems. The first problem is this: uh, throttle body setup is going to be a dual throttle body so there'll be an icon throttle body here and here. And if you look from the top, we don't have a whole lot of room to work with, this thing's going to be all the way out to here.

basically in line with the turbo, but the turbo is Way Forward So to make this go to there right now is almost impossible. but that's not a huge issue. Uh, it's something that we can work with and make happen. The big issue that we're having right now is this is how the turbos were clocked.

They came straight down, the collector was like right here wastegate came up. you know the little pipe and all that stuff was there I Cannot reuse any of that. and the big reason for that is we've got oil fittings where we didn't used to have oil fittings. so I'm gonna have to re-clock both of these turbos and figure out how to get the header out in this hole right here and up to the bottom outside the frame rail of the car.

Now that wouldn't be a big issue except there's a tire there so we're gonna have to lower the car down. I'm gonna have to cycle the steering left and right and make sure all that clears before we even start on headers. And before I do any of that, we have to do our front plate. So the front plate is what holds the engine in the car and that works off of these two bolt holes here and down here.

Those bolt holes right there. so it's going to be like a wing off of this side of the block to the frame rail and same for that side. and then this side has to get countersunk so that this can go on. There's a lot of Stack up.

There's a lot of little things that are going to slow us down, but we're going to get through it all right. So the motor is officially sitting under its own weight and before I can get started on placing turbos and building headers I Got to figure out this issue. It's very obvious issue, we're not going to be able to get much on there. so I got to move this oil pump somehow.

we're pretty limited on Space though this motor is so wide that it takes up pretty much all the real estate in here. Oh boy. I Feel like I've been here before hanging a turbo, buy a ratchet strap late at night trying to figure out how in the world I'm gonna get a header built into this turbo. So the first thing I need to do obviously is check clearances I can't put a header where a tire is going to be and I can't put a turbo where I can't get a header two.
So the big thing is, we really don't want to move these turbos. There's not many other places for them. The whole car is kind of built around these turbos. being way up in high, we are quickly approaching filling the engine bay with other stuff that wasn't there before on top of that.

So with all that being said, I had to cut the old mounts and rotate this turbo. I Think this is where it's going to fit, Where it's going to work the best for us. Get this pipe squeezed in there between the tire as you can see I have the tire a full turn left that way I can make sure that there is no chance of this thing rubbing or as little chance as possible there. I can put the collector right off of that build my header out.

I Got tons of room down there as far as primaries go, but when you're building a motor like this, this thing has two and a quarter inch primaries. so each cylinder has a two and a quarter inch pipe coming off of it and The Collector is three and a half inch and I still have to snake a wastegate down in there. so there's a lot to think about and a lot of planning that has to go into this before. I start running pipes.

That's just kind of the things that I'm dealing with right now and trying to figure out. so that's where we're at right now. I'm going to be doing all the work right here and all the cutting all the way over there. so I'm just going to set the time lapse up.

let you guys see it from one side. Just know: I'm cutting everything the exact same way on that big old bandsaw and then I'm taking a cleaning tool and I'm cleaning this stuff with just a you know, belt sander. Nothing special so you're not missing much over there foreign section. Almost every video like this.

our boy Tai Welding his life away. Obviously a lot of these projects fall right on him because he's the only one that can fabricate to such a fine level. I Mean you know George and I can lay well, but it ain't gonna hold 70 pounds of boost Ty Was here until 5am last night. The guy's been hustling all week to make this project happen.

Everyone always comments Ty needs a raise? Well, I agree. But also, if you guys want to give him a raise yourselves, you can check out this. McFarlane fabrication shirt. not just high grade high grade.

So this is Ty's t-shirt if you've never seen on the website and it is in stock right now. So if you want to support your boy Ty directly, you can go to Clevelandfallon.com and check these out. There are only five days left in the supercharged Tahoe giveaway. With that being said, five days left for that Tahoe giveaway.
We now have the mullet Legos back in stock which sold out in six hours last time. If you want one of these Lego mullets with his hundreds of pieces, you have to piece together yourself, they're back in stock. These are 24 entries for the giveaway. We were not able to lower the prices on these.

They're very hard to get and they won't be in stock long. Thank you guys for tuning in. Lately we've been killing it. Videos are doing great.

We are pushing hard to get bullets. Gx2k40 Guys, let's get back to the video. Brother: Whoo Whoo! Pretty spicy huh? Yeah. holy damn we got some Tire Tuck in there huh? Dude.

Yeah, it's uh, it clears but it is kind of tight. Will it still turn? Yeah. Wow. They can turn and do a wheelie.

Still, the only time you're going to want to be careful is full turn going like over big bumps and stuff. Yeah Damn. Ty There is really no other way to go there. no other way.

That header looks sick. Yeah. I Got one more primary on this side. then we'll hop over that.

Yeah, wow. And you had to totally remount these turbos, huh? Yeah, well, that's which. That's not an easy task. Give that one a shake, man.

it's way better. Oh damn brother. yeah I think I ain't going anywhere. No.

James I See, you got like four of these lines done so you only got maybe 150 to go? Yeah yeah, I got four lines done I got about 37 more to go which equates out at the end. You know everything. The 80 hose ends that there is the thickest hose we've ever had in the shop. This is bigger than radiator hose and that's for fuel 20 a.m when you got a pump that says I'm gonna put all the volume but this stuff don't kink.

Yeah, that's crazy. So that's going to run from that bottom of the tank down there to the over the bottom. All right. Thank you.

All righty it was a long night, huh? Long night. What time did you roll out about 5 a.m Attaboy out of my letters now but we got headers. brother, they look beautiful great. You're pretty happy with them.

Yeah, yeah. I mean he has a rush job. This is like the epitome of 10 pounds of crap in a five pound bag. Yeah, it was not easy headers to the turbos with the yeah new engines and literally taking a whole new route for the headers but also making it so that the tires will clear at full lock.

Yeah, so that's not an easy task. No. I mean how do you route that much tubing with of that size? It's got basically the only motor wider than this is like a coyote. Yeah! So we have like huge motor, huge turbos, huge tubing, and huge primaries to it to support the power we want to make.

Yeah, so it gets tight fast. Yes, it does. Yes, it does. So yeah, the headers are the real nightmare.

So the headers were the Nightmare and now we can start working on our cold side. Which guys? Originally we had this big Billet piece right here and this was right off the intake. but the problem is with it right off the intake. Like here, there wasn't really any way to get it to the turbo without making some crazy pipe.
So we ended up getting this gigantic single throttle body instead of having dual throttle bodies on each side of this. And now Ty has some room to make a connection like this. And actually we're just looking. and now this bullhorn thing might actually work.

So look at this freaking throttle body. How big is this thing? Jackson 123 millimeters. There's a smidge under five inches. Almost bigger than the one on George's truck.

Almost almost three mil. Oh, you have a 120. Oh, we got him. Got him.

You know everything on Mullet now is all about airflow. We gotta be. it's all about this one. We gotta have a lot of airflow.

My Boost yeah, literally high boost. I mean you guys heard us talk about 70 pounds of boost is the limit so odds are will run about 85 through this thing so you know it's just gotta. Once or twice it's Gotta really flow some air and Ty great job Thanks Jackson in the hosing Department How many hoses are you up to? I know you had about 900 to do how many you got done now. got about 812 done 812.

we're coming on the tail end nice. So now you guys know there's a ton of hoses on this new engine and a lot of them are just to flow water through the heads and through the block well. James and Ty had the idea to make this attachment for our radiator keeps flow back into the radiator. Yeah, more efficient.

Yeah, it'll free flow right back into the radiator versus necking down and then necking down again and it was just a whole nightmare fitting. So the guys added on this piece to the radiator to just kind of simplify everything. And then down here we have this huge electric 55 gallon water pump that's just bolted right to the radiator. So that's all stuff that James and Ty knocked out and I tell you it's definitely saving us some time now.

Yeah, so you got a lot of these lines done. One issue we have back here is this oil scavenge hole on the back of the head is really tight on the firewall. We're trying to figure that out. The goal is to really wrap this thing up because we got Pete coming in town, we got to tune it and get on the road.

Yeah, so what do you got? Just a few lines left? Yeah! I got uh our big. our big oil lines are done for the pumps of the tank. Yeah! so once I have a filter mounted oil filter I can go from the pump to the filter filter through the block. Yep.

and then there's just like two really tight lines where that pump is. Yeah, I Gotta still figure out. but outside of that, water's done fuel. I'm one line away once the filters mounted from having the fuel done and then it's just two oil lines.

almost there brother. we are almost there. and then Zach in the wiring. Department I See, you have a whole new Port here in the firewall.
that's a new injector harness. Yep, we obviously had injectors on the inside and the outside of the old intake, but this one's so much bigger. We had to use the injector harness that was on the outside of the old intake for the inside of this intake. So you'll see our injector harness is in there, it's all plugged in, and Zach is building a whole new custom one for the outside because there will be two injectors per hole.

Over one thousand pounds per hour of fuel per cylinder for the SMX 24 injectors. Yeah, Three computers to run? I Mean it's it's absurd. It's a lot of wiring. mainly though we got away with reusing the old harness.

We're gonna cheat some things up, move some things where it fits because we just don't have time. Yeah, we are. Definitely it's going to be the great wire of May I'm holding you to that I'm gonna rewire it in the month of Freedom Come on dude. Yeah, 2025 we'll take a break and rewire this thing.

You heard it here first folks. And then George is wrapping up transmission stuff under the car. Since we have a bigger mid plate, we had to get longer bolts and then have you done the converter bolts yet? Yeah, converter, bell housing. All that stuff looks good.

Yeah, how do you guys feel We gotta have this thing running by tonight to really be caught up? Okay, that's what I like to see guys. Really motivating response there. Oh yeah at I think we're gonna get there so everyone it's going to be really close. We are hustling trying to get this done.

Luckily, the toter is done and ready to go. I mean flurries done. Leroy's done. Mullet is our only focus and we really want to get this thing to Tx2k.

Let's hope we don't hit any roadblocks, but we'll update you guys tomorrow on where we're at. Tx2k starts tomorrow, so you know we're slightly behind, but we'll still be able to make it and qualify if everything goes well. but that's it for now. Thanks for watching.

Do it for Dale We'll freaking see you later. Foreign.

Tye is a fantastic fabricator! He thinks in 3D. His quality of work and the design of the header system is wonderful to watch. He made you a set of 10 to 15 thousand dollar headers in less than two days. What ever you are paying him is not enough! I have worked on high dollar sports cars, Indy cars, Bonneville cars and Tye's talent is equal or above any thing I have seen.
    Great to watch.
