Beat the pilot bearing to death. What the heck's the deal of that? Yeah, it could be bent as much as that just wiggled around. I Mean do a run out on it, but that really should be put in the lathe. It's raised up pretty good.
Yeah, well. dang well. we lost our Dane pilot bearing. Too many freedoms that does not look good.
That does not look good at all. Brick you can see. I would say that that is that glazed over that might be glazed over. Yeah, it might be a little glazed.
Holy crap Hot hot. The edges of this damn bro. Well damn you know something bad has to happen for things like that to happen. And we're here.
Yeah, here we are. You know you gotta learn. we're going 106 60 foot. You know what? I'm saying it's working.
It was working, but we just uh, tried too many times in too little period of time so we screwed ourselves. But it sounds like we have some new discs coming, but we'll see if we can actually save these. A lot of guys will just, uh, clean them up a little bit, take off the top layer. they might be okay.
So we went ahead and resurfaced our flywheel side, our pressure plate side, and our ring that goes between the two discs. And as far as our disc goes, they're a little chopped up. so we just resurfaced them. some good old 50 60 Grit scuffed them up a little bit.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what determination looks like. We are back at the track again. They have rentals every day this week so we freaking slapped Leroy back together and here we are okay. Sweeping in the trailer? Yeah! James has been here all the time.
We got a mission, you know what? I mean guys, we gotta go sixes in this thing and we just want to stay on top of it. There's no point letting the car sit for a couple days if the track is open, so we got the clutch fixed up to what we think is all right. Turns out most of the damage on the outer rings of the disc was actually from the pilot bearing being destroyed. So Zach threw in a fresh pilot bearing and actually a better one and we feel as though we have a pretty good setup for today.
but we'll see, We won't really know until we get up there and launch. Probably leave the very same tune-up that was in it when we hurt the clutch and just go down and try it. No ripping, good brother. You like that feel.
Feel like six seconds feels like probably 680. Now first rip, we're going eight mile. All right, All right. Leroy A little Eighth Mile Rip here.
Make sure the clutch feels good. foreign. All right. All right.
Well, a lot of clutch dust on that one 's done. I think uh I think he was getting ready to blow through that thing and hit the trailblower if we would have let it. Oh I think I think it was blowing right through it. Yeah, yeah, it was on its way to the chips.
Oh yeah, good call. I Think we should probably send the clutch back to the clutch guy. have him go through it. Okay, this is in called Rob from the clutch shop that we're using Advanced clutches. He's like, well, now that you guys, damn it foreign, you need to reseed them because we resurfaced everything. We grinded everything up so he's like put a bunch more bass in it and try it at least one more time. And if it doesn't work, then we'll go from there. well.
Fresh clutch adjustment. got her cooled down. Jackson Getting her fueled up, you're getting suited up. Get something cool.
All right. that's good. If it does something awesome, it might slip. You might hear it slipping a lot on this path, but I'm trying to down All right.
Leroy Foreign. It just went straight to limit her like it wasn't for sure. Well, I was on its way there real quick. that one it kind of started to hold so she was slipping with no gripping.
She was flipping for sure. well, 136. but that was all clutch work. Oh, and then you can hear him down there getting in it trying to give it RPM out the hole.
It's kind of like partial throttle. Yeah, he was trying to partial throttle it and it was just blowing through it. So I don't think we're gonna be able to fix that boys today. It was worth a shot, but clutch has got to get fixed.
So guys clutch is done. But obviously we know this thing was working. Amazing. But we screwed it up.
But before this video is over, we have a surprise for you guys because you've all been asking in the comments: when's Leroy getting a body? Well listen guys, a year ago you know I dropped a lot of money and I didn't even let time measure it because I didn't want the measurements to be wrong and I measured to get a body for Leroy myself and the body has finally arrived. If you guys are about to see it for the first time and we're gonna install it on Leroy right now it's gonna be incredible. Brother, this is it All right Guys here it is. How heavy is it? Dude I thought whoa, looks good.
that is 100 fitting. Looks like it's gonna fit for sure I Feel like I measured it all right I don't know dude I think it looks a little skinny. no like me, that's an illusion. Oh that's just because it's uh, it's the color You ready? dude? Now it's time to put it on for the first time.
Like I said I measured everything twice I mean I Have no doubts in my mind this thing's gonna fit. This is really expensive. so I mean returning is not an option. so let's do it.
They sent you the one with the hole for the blower, not the turbo. Yeah I know we're gonna cut that out. How's it looking? George um from here it looks good. All right.
Well ah, hard to say honestly I think it's gonna work. Is it on? Adventure wait a second. Oh dude, what are you doing I bet you tie changed. you know what? I bet I think Ty put the cage on wrong. Dang it, it's because all the gaps in his welds, it made the cage wider. It's the only thing that makes sense. damn it. Ty Did you carry the two? or did you square the two? No.
I just round it up. there's your problem. Damn dude. if you squint it's men.
I guess the only thing left to do is trim it. Yeah early? Yeah. Never gonna financially recover from this. I'll probably just delete my YouTube channel.

We had a guy that came down to the shop had a clutch rebuilding shop in his van rebuilt the clutches right outside the shop it was a pretty good deal and it was good work and reasonable

For the clutch, maybe it's worth it to add a line for compressed air to cool it down with? Just enough to make it a bit windy inside the bellhousing between runs to make it cool down quicker. You could probably also steal a bit of bleed air from the turbskis to cool it down slightly during the runs.
