So let's go talk to these guys. We got the bennett and ramsey race teams put this together for me, so i can come out and race dirt. For my first time. We're at bristol dirt and i'm gon na try this out.

What's up man, how you doing good? How are you what's going on dude? I know you uh you own. The engine in this car right engine transmission drive line basically install you on the car yep. That's the deal all right, so i got ta make sure i keep you guys. Happy.

Tell me a little bit about this thing: 350: crate engine, yep, 602 motor um, the respect, gm motor um two barrel rochester, we got ta run those the shore, two two speed power glide. Oh, it's got a power glide in it hell yeah and you guys move the seat down. For me. I see that real nice you to do that.

Driveline drive, shaft, dynamic, driveline gears, okay, yeah. I see them right there. They set up gears for us and stuff yep. They set them all up for us and got them all ready and it's been a challenge but yeah you guys like slap this together right yeah.

We had about two weeks to put this car together from frame. Basically, so that i have never raced dirt in my life, i've raised some on dirt, but i've never done anything like this before and better to start at bristol than anywhere right. When you get out on the road, don't use your brakes because you don't have any none of them. Do.

Oh, really, it's not a big brakes thing. Well, they they are, but they just don't. Have them. Okay, you just go in there's not real great.

I mean i mean it kind of looks like you guys are drifting out there, a lot pretty much yeah yeah. So i know how to do that. I mean i feel like we got this and uh. You guys all have your own cars too, so we're in the hobby stop class correct yeah.

Are we all racing together? Yep yep? Oh it's gon na be great. It's all gon na be fun all right, so practice today, yep yep. We got a couple hours. This guy over here we got ta get some.

We got ta get some media on his car over there see that add me on dude. That thing looks he is nothing looks too too clean. If you look at the trunk, you can see what he's looking for. Yeah, what's he got oh position available, so we just had a bunch of uh.

We had our first like real circle track race at the freedom factory and i had never done a true circle track race. Besides, what i did and the guys who came like i had so much fun hanging out with them, and i can already tell i'm gon na like hanging out with you guys so, hey you guys tell me what i'm doing wrong and i'll try and fix it, And yeah i just want to learn just like david's thunder bud. You just got to come in. You got to tell us whether you're, tight or loose.

You want me to hit the face card i'll. Do it hell yeah all right so guys if you want to come out to bristol dirt? Basically i got practice today and then we qualify tomorrow, tuesday, okay, so the big race is friday, but i think i got ta qualify tuesday. It's pretty much it! Okay! All right, so we got ta, make the main race dude. The rap came out beautiful 1776.

This is nice, it's quality and they moved the seat. For me, thank god that would win real badly. Look at that place. Imagine they have 2 000 employees here, oh holy cow, oh my god that is nuts, damn we're gon na be drifting! Oh! Look at that.

The dirt is uh like super deep, too man. I know this is right up my alley. Hey boys, we got ourselves a nice ripper right here. I guarantee you fire me up.

They were lining up over there go. She feels nice and loose loose is fast. So these are uh sport modified. I think i know these are modified.

I don't know all right honestly, i'm learning a lot today. These are hobby stocks. All over here we got modified, those might be stock cars. I don't even know a lot of a lot of glasses all right here.

We go god, hey! Look at this place, i'm talking about bleachers for days. Let's go: oh dang! Oh, what the hell dude, damn nice equipment. Okay, look at those things: they're rolling, hell, yeah boys, oh good, sign that your race car wants to turn left on its own, so yeah john deere, nice stuff. Oh my god, it's very exciting stuff.

Those things are done. It was a poor choice. I didn't think tennessee clay, i don't know yeah dude. This is crazy.

I guess in some spots it's five or six feet deep. That's some thick stuff! Look at that boys some thick stuff, that's where we all drove in on it, packed it in it's crazy that, like real tacky, you see the guy well, it like flicks off yeah. It was bare over here. That's actually dirt.

It's just really compact dirt! Really it's not yeah, it's not the asphalt. The shiny stuff is a super compact. It's like the groove, pretty killer lighting system. How well it the track itself is just from these exterior lights, nothing from the center, but they got this stuff dialed.

Please just found holy toledo: that's like 10 grand of fire extinguishers, at least that boys, oh boys. Here we go. I just want to put on record that a lot of people you know on their first time doing this. They go to track by themselves, we'll be going out with about 20 cars.

So that's good! You know it's always good to really dive in. I want to get my first crash out of the way. There's a look at cletus. Mcfarland's 1776.

You see the freedom factory logo there on the bottom uh. We are so very, very excited to have cletus on board with us he's a pavement boy, but he told me up here in the press box earlier he said you know. This just looks like drifting and i've been doing that for a long time. I asked him.

I said you got any apprehension. Are you anxious at all? He said no not really like i'm just out here to have a good time and and hang out with my friends and race here at bristol, and i love his enthusiasm. I love his. His excitement like he is just pumped to be here and we're very, very happy to have him on board with us this week, too, he's not shying away from the loud pedal.

That's for sure, cletus mcfarlane hold it down there through three and four, a good good run. You can see that he's got it set up really really nicely working with a great crew. That uh has helped him set up that race car the wheels counter steered just enough. Maintaining that slide he's not afraid of it at all.

Man, i'm very excited to see this, and that's one great deal about plate is that he has that kind of asphalt, experience and you're going to need that one on the track. That's very high speed! Yes, you have you can't just kick the back end out, like you would on something smaller a little bit slower straight, is fast on these big high speed race tracks and he's keeping the car very, very straight a little bit sideways. There just say that coming into that second set of corners, but i mean really got a nice line going all right water tabs are good. Oil pressure is good.

I need some more gear, though i was running out of rear gear up on the chip about halfway down the street everything's good. The fan hits the shroud a little bit yeah. I can hear that i just started figuring it out yeah. I know you look good.

It's just like i was going too slow at first, you have to go in full speed or you just drive down. So i'm like the last lap i started dude. I just started to realize how fast you have to go and i was like hell yeah and then i injected up so yeah. I kept coming like rumble down thing and once i started to have some balls and actually go fast, i mean you really just can't even lift going full throttle and the car takes you so much better.

So i just wanted to go so much. I wanted to relax all right boys. We got our practices she's, ruining good. The problem is it's getting up on the chip real early.

We got a 5.0 final drive in this thing and they need a little more gear, so i think we're going to go down like a 4 76 or something tomorrow, but i got my practice in it's feeling good. It's like drifting and asphalt oval track racing all at once, so loose really really loose. I mean you let off the throttle. The thing gets out sideways and sticks.

It's cool! It's gon na be crazy, passing people doing that. So really glad i got to wheel time, but we got qualifying tomorrow, so i think we're calling it for the night bye.
