Dude we went from uh we're getting a seven, so we'll take an eight real, quick hell. Yeah brother you're on the please be far on youtube channel. Oh baby thunder valley, raceway park first day of racing today with my boy: let's go hell yeah, so brent and i are rolling up the uh. The rest of the boys are behind us.

This is crazy. We got matty even here for the first day racing. I know i'm so excited so this is just oh there's toter. Oh there she is so tim gentry drove that drove up the toter since uh i had a wedding in texas, so i came straight to oklahoma there.

It is looking good dude, it just doesn't get any better than this brent. There's our stick shift competitor bill, armstrong, race, cars everywhere dude. This is getting exciting. This is it one week on the road track to track thousand miles and we're starting in oklahoma city.

Oh man look at that damn still looking clean as ever the viper truck and then you'll see that we brought the blazer. Oh i hear some with turbos, oh yeah, oh yeah, you'll see we brought the blazer, which we actually finished right before the truck left. So the blazers here it's got an exhaust on it. It's got the uh turbo 400 and everything hasn't been tuned or anything, but if ruby or leroy breaks that is the backup, car or even parker's car, that is the backup vehicle for race week.

So someone might end up driving it ready to see our boy dude ready. You haven't seen him in a half minute. Our chariot hey, looking good dude, oh yeah, dr pepper, is in the sunlight, pretty good. Damn we got two running cars, see if ruby can keep the street going all right, so not the greatest start for ruby pulled her out and the wide band jumping all over the place, like the air fuel ratio, is acting crazy.

So i changed the wide band with a spare, but we just so happen to have, and it's still being crazy. So hopefully that's not a problem under load. Sometimes they can be weird when the car is idling, it can kind of suck air back down the tube and stuff not gon na worry about it, because i got ta worry about this. This is my car, my problem, james and george's car, their problem, parker and ben's car their problem and then zach will be driving the srt-10 viper truck the whole week, which is looking absolutely beautiful.

So we got ta go get tucked up, though we got ta get the trailer ready. Once we go through tech, we can't even go look at our trailer. We can't go in anything like that, so we got to make sure we're 100 ready and then we're gon na go through tech and at that point race week has begun. We cannot access our trailer.

We cannot access any extra help and it's go time. Big buenos dias david forgot to pack the hood, not weird how the hood disappeared. Dude welcome to the club. I guess damn forgot your hood oops.

They totally must accidentally unpinned it and put it off the trail. I think it's uh definitely means we're gon na win. This time, because leroy and ruby have good luck without hooks yeah, you don't need a hood where we're going to go how's the uh doug. I don't know, let's just put it in the trailer when we leave today and oh he's, dropping it dude.
Look at the hats, dude dude: this is the one we won with the old sword, scrubbed her down big league waiting for a w big week, baby flip-flops, even dude brent. We officially passed tech brother, it's always 50 50 of the leroy. You know now it's actually been pretty good, we're about to reliable we're like we make it through every tech. These days with leroy man, the ol, the old pearly ride is all right.

Here we go all right, parker tell us about your predicament here. I just heard you have to run a hood in your class. I have to run a hood for the 9-0 class, so it looks like we're doing an 850 class and they and they left your hood at the shop. I had everything ready for the hood on the car, damn what a heartbreaker unbelievable! Maybe you go up there and ask they might let you through driving the srt channel all week, dude, oh yeah, freaking pumped and the ac just chilling, i'm a little jealous yeah.

You can't ask for much better than that truck. I know, get a drive six feet manual cruising hey check this out. I brought a little something special along with me, a little something something to spice up the wig dude. Oh yeah yeah check it out.

I was fully convinced fully convinced you didn't bring it. I was really prepared. I was like that is actually pretty hilarious, all right guys for leroy starting off race week. What we're going to be doing is that 818 pass from ls fest we're gon na go 4.

000 rpm and then we're actually just gon na run the boost in first gear. We're gon na leave the boost controller completely off and second gear. We're gon na go for, like maybe uh 13 pounds of boost and then 15 and then maybe 17 pounds of boost in fourth gear. Just gon na see where we're at get things started.

It's so hot that i don't think the track is gon na, be real. Prime, so we'll see how it does first pass, but the goal: what's the goal, brent um? Well, our goal for the week is to run sevens in every track, sevens baby and we're gon na stay till we make it happen or we're gon na break it. Trying. That's what we have to do? Yes, sir.

I've never done a seven in this car on race week. It's gon na happen, gon na work hard to do it. We got this yes, sir, hey man, y'all, passed tech. Of course, yeah got right on through there.

You pat oh yeah, i broke that button off. Oh that's all right glad! I could be your first step on race. We uh snatched the display right off the motion. Trailer.

Oh good call, dude 20 of that stuff. Dude. I hit that button so hard. One day racing kevin: i look down halfway through the pass buttons like bent in half like yep, still have that on these big jobs quote of the week we came to win and we ain't stopping at nothing besides a blow motor, nothing until we get there.
We ain't blowing, no motors, though that's right, so we're good brands, making little two-step test for ruby. I love that seven pounds that was seven pounds so your class, what's give us the low down on your class real quick. So it's a heads up like tire limited class, no bigger than 275, but there's a cap at 750 to separate the unlimited guys from the outlaw guys yep so quicker than we normally run. It's not the habit of street he's done 850.

All the way up. Until now, now you're going seven figures, so now we get the floor, the whole time on the hot tune and hopes to go as quick as 750 as possible. Yeah, the closest 750 000, like 850 plus 100, the closest she's ever been 755 in indy, yeah fire them up and then leroy stick shift class simple. As that we can go as fast as we want.

We just got to change the gears every you know, a couple seconds, yep and then what's parker and is he in 9-0 he says he's going to do 9-0, but that thing i have a feeling it's going to be uh, eight seconds. Second river. What are you guys doing here? Well, i was going to come, say hi, but i got distracted by all the shade yeah. It is freaking hot.

It's way, cooler, no pun intended we're dialed in dude yeah. Are you guys ready? We fired it up here. Nice haven't tried the two-step the trans break, nothing, you know damn. I hear these boys are racing together: l.a mullets, big jet boat, guys, oh yeah, big, big block jet boats, guys guys are really good at turning left the best hell yeah.

You do this to me. I do this to you. When else, do you ask come on, you can't take my job, that's my yap! All right, i'm giving it up! Sorry who's the doctor, how you feeling buddy, you feel great you're, the first out of all of us to make the first rip on race week, honestly he's set in the face for the whole race thing right now. This is it he is ready holy little burrito.

That's a race week, burnout right there, all right, 9-0 class first run on the new motor whose doctor is on fire, so mr tuner no way no better way to break in a new engine than the freaking lean it out. Well, you see, i got all geared up right, get in nice and tight snug her down, go to start it click and ben butler. Can't hook me up on a jump box to save his life, so we're sitting there for a long time. Look at the duty: are you doing dog, so you you didn't, have any gas.

His foot is in the throttle the whole way it was like it didn't, and our boy leroy pulling up in the stick class. We got the mid-eight second cards that'll, be on our back. Look at this turbo bat right here. It's gon na get spicy this year.

Boys yeah so yeah go check all that stuff out. Most of the racers have their own flag out there. So, while you're walking like this race week day, one baby, let's go, move didn't hold, was tire's been not clutch, i'm trying to be smart and not shifting. While it's spinning, if i do that, it'll break the transmission or it's like a 50 50, i'm breaking it.
But the guy we're racing just with an 8-8, so we got ta at least turn in like a minute to stay ahead of the back on the first day, but yeah 149, 60 plus spinning. We can improve upon that so i'll make fast all night. Until i get this seven, you go real well, no, making their way down a little spicy all right, so guys it's kind of bright but i'll, try and get you a description of what's going on here. Basically, what happened so we had our settings for our rpm drop to detect a gear shift wrong, so i mean look at this rpm over for shift detect.

That should be like 3 000 yeah. I would think yeah when i was pulling up, i kind of revved it a little bit and it was above rpm for the minimum detect 800 and then it saw a 1200 rpm drop, and then i held it above 1800, which i know this might be complicated. But just if you pause and read this stuff, you'll understand it instead of leroy launching in first gear, where the boost controller is off. Launching second gear, where the boost controller is on and right here it was making frickin 18 pounds of boost which is like insane power now for leroy.

So it just blew the tires right off the track, all right, guys, rocky mountain race week 2.0 day, one track one past one for ruby about to go up here and see what we can do in the heat of the day, see if we can't go uh. Seven something right off the rim: three categories, that thing is shining like a diamond there. She is 847 at 154.. I wasn't really breaking up too bad.

I was running a little off, but still holding pretty good pull around see what it did. It wasn't like running. It's still at 127., it was definitely like chugging amazing, it wasn't clean. I think george said he saw excess fuel like come on man, the wide man's still waiting out.

So i was hoping to clear up like in the burnout and clear up the stage and all that stuff. It was just sweeping back and forth. He's. Oh boy, 889.

At 146.. Oh, it's a limited! Yes parker! Yes, big dog, now dude. How easy was that, and i let out at like the thousand foot mark and got back into it holy crap. Let me see that 889 at one point.

Definitely let out definitely, let's go. What's the eighth mile, the eighth mile is a five six nine. Oh, my god, it went 140 dude. We could go so much.

We definitely ate 50s. I know but unreal all right. Well, these two dudes have gone eight. So let's go around a seven.

Let's go run a seven: we've got to come on. Uh ruby's wide band automatically started reading; okay, again the old unit back in there yeah. So we put a different wide band at ruby right when she got here today and on that pass james made the car thought it was super lean right. The wide band was eating super lean for no reason, so the car was throwing 2 000 pounds an hour of fuel at it, which is everything the fuel system has, and it was lugging it down with fuel.
Luckily, it doesn't seem like i heard it or anything put the other wideband in and it's reading perfectly so it's freaking, just random ruby, stuff she's done this just uh day. One race, week's traveling yeah, so james theoretically same tune should be able to go out and just pick up like three quarters of a second just because of fuel stuff. So hopefully that happens at least did you get it got it? It might be a little bit more in there a little bit of lucky pebble build up in there. Oh, you need that.

You can't never have too much lucky pebble. I guess parker would probably disagree with him running you're, tired. I love you. That's right.

Hey red, say: hi, hey, what's up, he just hops, get a little bob. The the lucky grasshopper is in here telling you he's going to make the hit with you. It's going to be a good one he's in there somewhere. I got a lucky grasshopper.

I only need no lucky pebble yeah, i'm not getting them, we'll, throw them a little piece of cheeseburger here and there no cheeseburger dude, you know what they say: buy them grasshoppers yeah, hopefully muddy. Oh damn it dude. I messed up. I'm pretty sure i rested my foot on the clutch which cuts the ignition other than that is ripping in fourth gear, though riding the clutch hard man that scares me.

I do not want to try this clutch on day. One don't kill me, i'm pretty sure i hit the clutch switch with my foot driving these automatics around bola. Did this i hit the damn clutch switch, i'm idiot, i'm an idiot all right. I will not mess this one up.

Let's put some weight on that clutch though it needs it yeah you see down track, it's see how it's hooking up. Then it's got that perfect line. That's what we need and you can see it's just rolling over the rpm slipping, so bad yeah. All right.

Let's get the lock up all right back up here, make our second pass of the day. Uh. As you can see, a good bit of time is elapsed. We got the wideband fix, so the fueling should be perfect seems to be working so far.

So hopefully we get a nice clean rip through here, and it goes about a 753 755 and we can sit comfortably in number one spot leaving this track today, holy toledo take a little difficulties first pass, but this one here all right felt solid. Definitely definitely a fast pass uh curious to see what it ran. Seeing that we had such a such a botched first pass. You know with that o2 sensor being bad, so um, let me get out here, get all comfortable and uh grab the chute and see what you did all right.

So we got a 126 to 60 foot 501 at 144 and went 774 174. A pretty solid pass for the new combination. You know really not knowing what tune was in it. That is exactly what it went on this tune, the last race week when it hurt the motor it went 771 and 774..
So we're right back where we left off with a healthy motor still has great oil pressure running strong pulling hard. So maybe we'll go back through that log see where it shifted at maybe up the starting line boost i'm not gon na turn this slip in yet, but i'm not gon na, say i'm gon na make a third pass. Today. I wan na see what everyone else in the class is doing and has done and if we're fastest at 774, i'm gon na turn it in.

Let's take another moment to just appreciate the motion raceworks coming out here with the trailer you're racing, you break something you need it. You come over here in motion right before i can get you a brand new part. We already had to take it down bracket. First steering wheel button because clever pushing so hard with all them bald eagles, took over his spirit.

Look it's missing one! All we had was this place. We had to take it brandon clear over here adjusting the clutches on leroy, trying to get one more good, passing for the knight they're in the zone right now, they're turning wrenches turning motors turning weights how's, it going boys good man, good man, yep we're putting a Little weight on the clutch and uh we're at all right man, i love race week right yeah. All right clutch has changed, we're, leaving the tune alone. Stick shift literally just pulled up.

Let's rip it. Oh boy, we have possible fire possible fire. A lot of sparks. Okay, so i legit saw sparks coming out up here, never seen that what is before on all right, we got ta get back, but the car doesn't sound right, but got ta get back under his own power holy cow.

I've never heard leroy sound like that. It's like one like it wasn't the clutch switch or anything all it just started. Losing that whole side, bang and then i saw sparks, saw a lot of sparks. Not gon na lie to you, buddy uh.

No, it didn't seem like it was that exhaust seemed like it was off. The side of the engine, rpm was rising and then all of a sudden it just crashed out and went bro all right figure out what the hell we got going on here. I wonder if we nip some plugs: let's pull the spark plugs i'll, get the wires off i'll get the valve cover back on all right guys. Uh status update, there's about 30 minutes left to what, until we can't make a run anymore, but right now we're trying to figure out what's going on with the car, all the rockers are pumping all the plugs look beautiful.

We have no idea why we lost this bank and it's not coming back um the car's freaking out. Oh, oh, oh! Oh! What that wire is that burned on that header right there. That's the coils! Oh dude! Oh it's completely! Melted! Oh, that's a yeah! I know you can: let's go. We got time, yeah race, weekly, oh 764., okay! Well, that's way better than where we were at 179..

All right! That's! Okay! That's! Okay! Good, solid ruby! Hopefully it wasn't too fast, though he uh felt good and strong down through there. Good strong grip, 764. big, i know thanks my car's broken all right. Let me see that i don't got a lot of time to talk 120.
60 foot. I trickle more power in on the brake and down low it's going through on the limiter. Oh it's out of gear yeah. I don't want to give it too much out back and it painted a limiter hard.

Maybe i raised it 100 rpm. What's it at it's at 8, 600.. Oh, it was at 85. way out of the 86..

I had to taper the power probe to the actual thing, because we think these wires fused somewhere back in the harness we might just take the power probe in it and tape it to the car and leave the power probe on before the run. Yeah. Seven second power probe yeah, nothing time started unhook the horn wire unhook, your horn, wire temporarily, borrow it good idea. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a note every once in a while yeah this isn't high enough gauge.

I don't think oh well. This is how much we'll do it it'll do it. This isn't much gauge either so race week, we're gon na race. We're gon na need a new horn use the uh other part of it.

Those channel locks are missing. Now we're good we're dialed switch on. Oh horns on a switch, not even a button, couldn't be better all right, so we just need fuel we're just going miraculously dude. We went from uh we're getting a seven, so we'll take an eight real, quick.

It was easy. Everybody would do it all right. Leroy. Last chance for today, oh that's, okay, that's still good! Yes, slipping the clutch like a mofo through the traps.

I even think i hit the freaking clutch button again, but it was like it recovered way: better slipping the clutch bad! I still lifted right before the quarter. That clutch might be pretty glazed over from uh, not having the counterweight that we needed soon enough. We very well may have to drive tomorrow, get to the next track and put a ton of counterweight on it to get hookup. But blackmagic did send me my old clutch back, it's at the shop.

It just got there yesterday. So maybe i'll have ty overnight that over to us and then we can have it for tuesday, but we got ta at least make the drive tomorrow and survive the next track day. Without that clutch, i can turn off all my coils on the left side of the engine. While i'm driving listen, it's like dod displacement on demand.

We go from four cylinder to eight cylinder thanks good deal, 8 48 whoa, hey! Where are the scales scales? Okay, thank you. Let's go, let's go the house wasn't first, i think the house was in first. I think it does, but it sounds like you in and out of the throttle. Oh yeah, i screwed it up a little bit, but but the clutch was drying out.

So it's lifted like a thousand feet. It's all good! It's all good dude! We got ta turn it in. We got ta slip all right, so we are fueling up leroy fuelling up the srt10. Sorry, my lens is so dirty.
I can't clean it because my shirt's so sweaty and uh james missed the turn so they're turning around but they're like out of gas, so we might have to see if they make it we'll see if they make it no way they're coming in on fumes. Oh, they got it, they got it ah made it. You literally out of gas, now we're pumping that truck right now, so we made it about a mile down the road uh after getting fuel and stuff ruby's tires are rubbing. These are actually leroy's wheels and tires and she's rubbing pretty bad, so we're gon na have to raise her up and add some yeah.

You know travel to the old coil over there day, one complete i'm gon na get some sleep. You.
